Obviously I wont take the £2m this week for getting tactics up on time etc.

Probably. As long as they're up before people vote you won't get a default loss.

Well done Chelsea, incredible effort and determination.

Begs the question, why couldn't they play like that under AVB?

Morning all, great game last night, and I'm pleased for Chelsea. If nothing else it means there are as many English teams as Cypriot teams in the last 8...

Cheers Marky

A timely classy performance from Lampard I reckon, he's in for the injured Kroos, but I don't think it'll harm me much. He looked excellent last night, as did Drogba, Terry, Ramires and even Luiz.

Want me to do mine?

Wednesday arent good for me, middle of the week, im busy at work. Fridays were easy as people start to wind down and in my industry groundsmen/greenkeepers have all gone home for weekend come 12pm friday so I get less calls, email and less to do.
So I cant guarantee my tactics will be in on time every week.

If they get Bayern they are out!! The wont make the final anyway. Benfica will tear them up. Drawing APOEL, or Marseille is there only way through to semis IMO. and I think APOEL could be a big suprise depending on the draw, they have real heart which has seen them get to where they are. Fantastic for their team, fans and cyprus in football terms.

I think APOEL could tear them up but if they draw Barca I think we could be looking ar 11-0 aggregate. Heart doesn't count for much against barca. Marseille have been poor so far so Chelsea could beat them and stumble into the semis.

I think Chelsea may surprise one or two in the CL now.

They have little else to focus on and can save their best matches for this one. With an experienced and clearly still capable squad, I don't see them being rolled over any where nearly as easily as some of you guys think.

Maybe, I dont expect a lot from them so yes they could.

I swear Di Matteo wants to be Pep. You him standing on the touchline last night, hands on hip, in his suit, grade1/no hair. He wants to be Pep, im telling you or he thinks he is Pep. Silly man

Does every Chelsea manager have to wear that long coat? It's ridiculous.

I think they will be steamrolled by Bayern, Barca or Madrid.

On another note, Torres looked thrilled at the end of the game last night, didn't he? He's missed more open goals than he's scored goals this season.

The difference is Roberto Di Matteo is actually liked by the "old guard", and unlike any other time this season, the Chelsea players and the Chelsea manager were on the same page.

Even Fernando Torres looked class last night, excluding the tricky half chance he had where he had the open goal from a tight angle which went wide. His workrate was terrific.

They could get a draw that sees them face APOEL then either Benfica or Marseille in the semis, that's a clear route to the final in my book. Or they could get Barca, with the winners getting Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semis and they might as well not bother turning up!

Mourinho last night said he would love a Real Madrid v Chelsea final. But if that's the draw for the Quarters, it would be very interesting. Especially if the 2nd leg was at Stamford Bridge.
