The wet would suit the Welsh, maybe Warran will keep it open.

Rugby's an outdoor game, if we can't cope with a bit of rain we don't deserve to win anything.

Re: Rain and the roof
why on earth should PSA relent? He's set up his team to kick for territory and target the Welsh line-out (pair of kicking half-backs and two jumpers in the back row), so poor weather suits him to a tee. Rugby is an outdoor sport IMO, so the roof should be open except in exceptional circumstances.
Woodstock, not sure why you think the wet would suit the Welsh? Their kicking game isn't the best, and they mostly prefer to keep the ball in hand.

Re: Rain and the roof
Apparently the French have said that closing the roof will affect their GPS tracking system that they use for their players - no idea if this is true or not tho, perhaps another poster can advise? If it rains I'd expect North and Cuthbert to be severely tested under the high ball - doubt they'd bother with 1/2p, he's pretty accomplished in that area, and I can't imagine that North will be found wanting either - less sure about Cuthbert tho, perhaps unjustifiably?

Neither North nor Cuthbert are great under the high ball, Asbo - their positioning can be a bit off, too. I expected Ireland to test them more than they did in Dublin, maybe O'Gara would have done if he'd started.

Re: Rain and the roof
Hahahaha yeah now we will have players picked for wet and dry games !!
All professional and the same for every player. Wales won't fret in fact I think they are better in the wet.
Come on Wales. Opposition coaches just do this as a bit of psychological pap.

'Opposition coaches just do this as a bit of psychological pap.' Exactly. Given the choice (as away teams apparently are in the case of MS/roof), always do the opposite from what you think your hosts want on principle alone. Every legal pre-match niggle is fair game.

Warran got it right. What if the roof was closed on Friday and the mechanism broke on Saturday!
