He's the best ref in the world, I'm just being one eyed probably.

What I like about Joubert is his demeanour. He is always calm and very good at communicating to the players

Almost every time Davies gets the ball he beats the first defender.

Jaysus you're hard to please. I think that his kicks (except the goal attempt) have been good.

No, you need to sit through 80 minutes of this, then it will go.

The French chase on their kicks is really half-hearted. Makes the selection of Beauxis look even less credible.

When you consider their try came from a counter then it stands to reson they should use that dangerous back line better.
Look at the little attacking kick Roberts used. It was effective, the players got there and France had to run the ball out. Welsh line out.
If Priestland kicks and there aren't welsh players to put pressure it is a waste.
That's why I say every second one, becuase some were useless.

Oh God, are all the commentators Welsh?...greeeeat. Butler and Jiffy showing a total lack of objectivity as usual.
Cracking try by Cuthbert though, for a big guy he seems to have something that most wingers don't these days - a great swerve. An appropriate trait this week i think.

Re: Wales vs France match discussion thread
If the ref from last weeks game had refereed this one, the game would be stopping every two seconds.
As it is, the ref is allowing a great deal of excitement and open play.
Well played ref (not perfect but you have certainly made it a spectacle!)

The French have obviously been told not to commit numbers to the breakdown and it's costing them gilt edged opportunities.

This first half has been immense - fast paced, exciting and no real controversy. Rugby at its best.

Re: Wales vs France match discussion thread
ah dang...
France must be cacking themselves though, Wales look frightening at the moment.
France will start to tire early, 3 internationals in 3 weeks, lots of semi injured players and 6 days rest from their last game, will hopefully catch up with them.

I can't stand hearing BBC commentators (all of them) referring to Wales as 'we'. SOME pretence of objectivity at least please. Oh god, tell a lie, if it keeps Inverdale off the mic keep it up!

Re: Wales vs France match discussion thread
So pleased we've built up a lead.France aren't looking to play any rugby, so a can't see us getting back in touch. Danny Lydiate gas been immense. The 2 2nd rows have also been fantastic and we have strength on the bench. I won't even criticise Priestland. I could but I won't. Save it for another day.

Re: Wales vs France match discussion thread
One moment of lack of concentration and France can easily score a try at the start of the second half and all the momentum swings their way.
their is nothing in this really, though Wales are the better team at the moment.

Oh for gods sake, Sam injured again... and we have no openside on the field.
Can;t the injuries give us a break, just once?
