Warrior
Good evening guys, not usually on the MMA forum, but thought I would let you guys know about a movie called Warrior.
It is about a MMA tournament knock out style 16 fighters over two nights. You might enjoy it, perhaps you have seen it, There is some great and very realistic fight scenes, with a bit of a story to it.
Stars:
Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton

I thought it was good, the fight scenes are very realistic, it doesn't look staged in any way, which you often see in boxing movies and the storyline is decent, considering that it doesn't overshadow the actual fighting scenes.
In my opinion worth a watch.

Watched this movie last week and was very impressed - agree Tom Hardy is magnificent in it - but Nick Nolte steals the show as the brothers recovering alcoholic father.
Well worth a watch

Re: Warrior
Agree with above comments I enjoyed the film and wasn't over the top which was my initial concern before watching it.
I bought it on DVD and the special features are good, famed MMA coach Greg Jackson was the technical advisor for the film and there is a decent interview with him.
Interesting Fact: the hill you see the fighters run up for training is actually used by Jackson when training his fighters!

yeah, he is one of the great actors of his era, it is a shame he didn't make more movies.
