606 Boxing Bin List
Just had an idea
Why don't we start a boxing bin list? Let's add all the people we would like gone and say why. Then, let us all rejoice on here.
I will start
Bob Arum - For being a shyster who protects his bum attractions and promotes in house fights only these days.
HBO recent run of bias, failiing to ask pertinent questions to their fav fighters (such as JCC jr when he had a DUI), failing to acknowledge when one of their "preferred fighters" are blatantly being beatent to the punch (Pac Man v JMM III) and generally thinking they can shape the sport to suit their pockets. Not wanting HBO gone, just their recent bias, which is out of control.
What else you got guys? Maybe we can have a top ten (Adam, windy you listening?) and post it in a week.
10 things on the Bin List that would help fix our sport

Having live boxing spread across multiple PPV or subscription channels. You could spend £40+ a month trying to watch Sky Sports, ESPN, Primetime, Box Nation etc

Primetime only show low level MMA now, although I'm sure they had Mayweather vs Ortiz.

James Toney. Piggish, loud-mouthed yob who hasn't produced a decent performance in almost a decade and is suffering from some seriously alarming delusion. The only part of you that the Klitschkos are 'ducking' are your giant man teets when you turn around too fast, James.

Ah yes I do remember deciding to sit through some previews of Alex "The Reidanator" Reid taking on Jason "Badass" Barrett, was in the top 10 of the most cringeworthy moments I have seen in "Sport"

To be fair though Chris, the Bitchko Sisters and David Gay are clearly ducking James.

Not really on topic but isn't the reidinator the worst nickname ever, it doesn't make any sense, you can't just but inator on the end of anything and have that as a nickname, although I am now getting tempted to call myself the rowlinator

I remember when he did that show for ITV4, it followed all his build up and he was bigging the fight up no end, I'm sure he got KO'd in the first round

Colin Hart predicted the Rumble in the Jungle correctly, just thought I'd mention in case he hasn't in the last five minutes.

Sure, taken out of context it seems a bit silly. Once you hear the story behind the nickname you'll change your view.
Allow me;
Alex Reid was fighting once and was getting handily beaten. Despite this he kept on fighting hard and was not deterred from his task. Someone commented, "that guy just keeps coming! He's like a terminator!". To which someone else responded "He's the Reidinator!"
You're welcome.

Re: 606 Boxing Bin List
Alex Reid choked out Barrett in the 1st Round. Was his first win in 8 fights haha.
Reidinator. Brilliant.
We should do a topic on the worst nicknames in boxing.
I think Anthony Small has a funny one. "Sugar Ray Clay Jones Jr"......what?!

HAHA! Remember on Talksport they were doing a build up for Haye vs. Wlad and Colin brought up that old chestnut it was relatively interesting first 6 or 7 times around. Even the presenter got bored of him.

It's quite a widespread practice and does not only employ the form 'inator'. There's also the simple 'ster' as in The Reidster and who could forget the classic 'meister' as in The Reidmeister. Or if you want to go a bit further, you can make your name correspond with an everyday verb and then enhance it to make it sound threatening. I can see it now "The Reidmeister, he can reid you like a book".

Why don't we all have one choice and have to put forward an argument for why it should be binned or rather placed into room 101 and the rest of us decide on the outcome?

Re: 606 Boxing Bin List
Boxnation, stupid channel, the casual fans who knew groves and Mitchell after the degale and Murray fights are now in the dark
Chavez Jr, FIGHT MARTINEZ
Amir Khan's mentality, he lost, get over it. He was 100% and he lost because e has no boxing brain at all
Each organisation having there own rankings, have you seen cleverly's last opponent
David Haye, really dislike him. Got outclassed by wlad and since he's retired he has talked about how this opponent or that opponent has no chance and he deserves a shot
Mayweather vs Pacquiao, gone on for far too long and no real proof of who is actually ducking who. It's one person's sources against another's
Frank Warren, I want Hearn and hatton to be the sole promoters in England. They are happy to fight each other
Top Rank vs Goldenboy. I hate arum BUT the ego's that prevent good fights between the 2 biggest and brightest stables in boxing won't fight each other. Cotto had to leave to fight floyd, Mosley had leave to fight manny. Work in cohesion and give us some great fights with great undercards
Dodgy scorecards, consistency is key, how anyone can have Williams beating Lara is scary or Lopez leading vs salido
Sorry there are so many but thinking about one got me thinking of all the things in boxing that annoy me

Defo Glen "Braindead" McCorpse
Larry Merchant - sounds like he's had about 4000 strokes
Roy Jones Junior - what is the point in him boxing?
Same for Evander Holyfield
Nathan "i'll fight the winner of BHop vs ??" Cleverly
