Hence why he will be stretchered off at half time.

Here's a question. At this moment in time, who is the best DM in the world? (Busquets doesn't count because he's a disgrace)

Injuries and aggression in real life though don't come into question in these games.

De Jong... Whistle

I agree on Busquets, I can't take to him. He's a diver, poor tackler and a seemingly arrogant little (or big) swine. I wonder whether he would look as good in a midfield without Xavi or Iniesta.

The problem is, Keane would then be sent off and Busquets will feel his job is done and he wins... There is no fair retribution in football I'm afraid. The bar stewards always end up the winner (bearing in mind Keane isn't a cherub either)

No, not at all. Of course Keano is a thug, but who does the football fan admire more? The guy who gets stuck in and always gives 100% for his club or the guy who pretends to be injured after every challenge and tries to get players sent off?

IMO, there needs to be a ban on play acting. It should be bookable but of course, it would be very hard to decide who is in the wrong during those circumstances.

Topic for this afternoon.

Why are there no woman managers in the professional game? Surely they can plan tactics and manage a team just as well? (No sexism please, this is an honest question)

I agree, retrospective action should be taken for it - like holding your face when you have been hit in the chest for example.

The worst thing for me is people staying down to get the ball put out. The new rule should be you aren't allowed to put the ball out in that instance unless the ref stops the game. Players are stuck in two minds at the moment, it should be clear that only the ref stops the game.

Was Rivaldo ever punished for a certian incident at the World Cup a few years back?

Yeah, I agree, unless the ref stops the play then don't put the ball out. That itself leads to other arguments (ie teams putting the ball out for a throw in instead of a GK.)

To answer YI, I don't know. Hope Powell was meant to be in the running for a Championship club's job a few years ago but I don't know if that's true. Maybe clubs want experience and know how at the top of the men's game? I am in unsure of it myself. Personally, I think 1 women is good at leading a team of men. Look at the The Apprentice. When there was 1 woman in charge of a team of men, they were incredibly successful. Then again, look at the sexism in football *cough Keys and Gray cough*.

Maybe it's a debate for Keys and Gray's show on TalkSport Wink

It doesn't matter whether a manager is black, white, gay, straight, male or female. If they are the right person for the job, they are the right person for the job.

But unfortunately there aren't any female managers other than Hope Powell in a position to be offered a job in the Football League, and she seems pretty content as the England women's manager.

I think it's the fact that a group of young men are less likely to respect a woman than they are a man. Fans too would probably balk at the idea.

Add to that a chairman not wanting to be ridiculed by others and criticised by his own fans and I'm not surprised that it hasn't happened yet. It's always hardest to break the status quo and it will have to be an outlandish and crazy chairman that does it first.

Newcastle are doing so well that Pardew has to be fired any day now. Mike Ashley is type of chairman who'd make that move.

Twas me. As Sodhat said, Neymar, Costa, Hernanes, Willian, Tubbs, all world class players.

Completely agree with Viva about tactics, although it does show who copies and pastes, or at least who doesn't copy and paste properly!

I'm fortunate enough to have time to write my tactics from scratch each week, but if I had to copy and paste a previous week's i'd at least have the sense to change the fixture!

As I put on the other thread, first come first serve isn't it?

It went from;

"2 TP's per week"

to

"First come first serve"

Why should I now be penalised if the rule wasn't written down properly?

Going out now, hopefully this will be clarified later, but I don't think I should have to lose the players over this.

Because they dry up quickly if people help themselves to unlimited numbers per week.

"You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week."

It's written at the top of the page. Yes, a lot of it hasn't been updated but it still applies imo. Ask Hero.

"2 TP's per week" denotes the number you can have.

"First come first serve" means that if two TP's for the same person are made, then the TP that came first gets the player

The two things are totally unlinked. It is 2 TP's per week, and you have two chances per week (Wed and Sun) to make them. It is as simple as that Marky.

Regardless Marky, you have to wait til Sunday (for it to be confirmed) before you add them to your squad! You can't just add whoever you feel like it at any given time.

I would like this to be confirmed by Hero and TSC first Nando, but I would say that anyone that was in Fan's squad is now fair game for a TP.

Look at the squad pages I made for both League A and B to see if anyone has a TP you are after OK
