Minus star players though Twist, I think.

I wasn't around when you had the vote on Fan's and ITFL's teams so I'm the wrong person to ask on this one.

Manchester City's Abu Dhabi owners are ready to sanction an £80m world-record transfer fee and a salary of between £400,000 and £500,000 a week to land Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Mental isn't it? Great player but a bit much to spend! Obviously costing Real as much as he did, there is only so many clubs in the world they could now sell to.

I don't think he'll ever go back to United to be honest - I don't think he's a loyal type of bloke and he certainly wouldn't give a second thought of going to City.

Not that I see United splashing anything like £80m on him, having sold him for that much already.

Was it 1995 that Alan Shearer cost Newcastle 15M? Seems loose change now.

By 2015 you would see the first 100M player. Or 100 Trevor Francis's Laugh

You have to wonder who breaks the £100m barrier.

Messi doesn't seem likely to ever leave Barca. I guess it will have to be Ronaldo, probably to City or PSG or some other mega rich club.

Who else would the candidates be?

It's possible I guess, but not from Santos - he'd have to be at a Euro club going to another Euro club I reckon.

It has to be someone young really doesn't it, and someone at an already large club...

Or Cherries comes into a lot of money and buys Bournemouth to turn them into the new Real Madrid. Obviously Heskey is the first piece of the jigsaw.

Neymar from Porto to Madrid I imagine. Or from Madrid to City. I think a Portugese club would be the right move for him for a year or 2 but whether he sees that is debatable.

Worked for former stars like Ronaldo and Romario. They both went to PSV first to acclimatise to Europe, scored a dumpload of goals and then went on to Barca and beyond. Makes sense to me, but I reckon Neymar will already reckon he can go to Madrid or Barca or somewhere and will miss the intermediate step.

Ah that's a good one Twist. To Madrid or City (as always lol). How old is Eriksen? Could he move to another club and then one of the biggest clubs?

Neymar may think he can go straight there but he'd just get flattened every game and whine at the ref. Maybe to Madrid and then out on loan but I can't see him going straight into the 1st team.

He's 19 isn't he, so it's possible. It has to be a very particular player I think, someone with a hell of a lot of goals in them and who is majorly marketable.

Who is everyones greatest player they have seen in their lifetime to date(just on telly or something)?

I think mine is Ronaldo (as in the toothy Brazilian that got caught with transsexuals). It's hard to pass over Zidane and Messi, but I'm sticking by it.

Well I just went and looked on TM for the youngest player on there of any value.

Mateo Kovacic (who I had in FL) and Lucas Ocampos. Both 17. Youngest on there is Rhain Davis who plays for Man U under 18. He is 14

Messi or Ronaldinho on his day I think.

Can't see a defender being sold for anything more than £40m at the moment. Apparently scoring goals is much much much more important than keeping them out.
