Carter and McCaw to Treviso?

Post from the Pro12 facebook page Im thinking its a hoax but anyone else heard about this?

I've heard as well. But the day after the story broke Carter and McCaw quickly dismissed it.

I did hear it mentioned at the weekend though I'm not sure if it was a wind-up.

It seems like it was made up by one particular site/newspaper in Italy

It's still a week till April 1st.....

I'll believe it when I hear it from a more creditable source than facebook!

Scrum V did mention it last night, when they were talking about Brad Thorne coming on a short contract. A 5 month subatical was how they worded it with regards McCaw and Carter. I honestly don't believe it is true, however it would make sense that they would go to Treviso, as the italians have not salary cap, and they play in both the HEC/Rabo so they would be playing against the best teams in the NH.

Carter's said he knows nothing about it and Blackadder has described it as "all crap". That probably puts that rumour to bed.

Aw don't go spoiling our fun, at least let us believe it could be true

It still could be, maybe its all a cunning double bluff from Carter and Blackadder...

imagine that was true, just how much of an explosion in support would Treviso get.

If Treviso did manage to make a big signing like Parisse, it could really boost rugby in the region and supporter numbers, Treviso aren't a bad team and are one step away from being able to challage for play offs in League, or maybe H-cup (with luck Edinburgh got there this year)

I just thought it was interesting that it was on the Pro12 official fb thats why I was asking but training and playing with these players day in day out for Treviso players would lift their game thats the affect guys like Pienaar have had at Ulster
