Frankenstein's Boxer
Simple premise: supposing one were to construct the 'ultimate boxer' from the spare parts of other dead boxers, which parts of whom would you select? No 'Burke & Hare' antics, just simple old-fashioned body-snatching: the boxers you use MUST be deceased, and only ONE part per donor may be contributed. Thanks Az.
And yes, I'm bored.

Re: Frankenstein's Boxer
Hmm, for starters I'd have the following -
Armstrong's stamina
Tunney's ring smarts
Fitzsimmons' power (or maybe Wilde's!)

Robinson was arguably the closest to perfection that anyone has come, but even he (yes, even he) wasn't without fault, no matter how small they were. He had a tendancy (particularly against the bigger guys) to get frustrated when he wasn't allowed to establish his normal rhythm on the inside if his opponent was bullying him around the ring, and he did lose his form slightly and leave himself open when this happened. Still, if it weren't for the 'one per stiff' criteria, that wouldn't be a bad shout.
I suppose as far as basics go, I'd take the short punching and finishing of Joe Louis, the right cross of Alexis Arguello, the left hook of Sonny Liston, the boxing brain of Salvador Sanchez (a really underrated strategist, the way in which he destroyed Gomez was as much a matter of boxing smarts as it was over-powering the opponent), the stamina of Henry Armstrong, conditioning of Rocky Marciano, jab of Gene Tunney, the defence of Willie Pep and the mastery of 'dark arts' of Sandy Saddler.
Could go on forever though, especially with no set attributes to decide on.

With modern medicine, Solis will be back to his best. Whether that is a good thing is another matter.

The oldtimers didn't need it. They were just fit and strong.
