Robinson to have crunch talks with Mr Dodson

STV understand that Andy Robinson will hold crisis talks with Mark Dodson on Thursday, so i fully expect his future sorted out by then and i agree with Doddie Weir in today's paper where he said the SRU should be smart and sack AR and appoint a Martin O'Neill type of guy to replace him.

In an additional announcement, Mark Dodson, the SRU CEO announced that Robinson would be forced to hand over all squad selection matters to the esteemed Scottish posters on 606v2. Dodson said: "Andy has also agreed to consult the crew on substitutions". Putting a brave face on matters, Head Coach Andy Robinson said: "I'm really looking forward to working with the v2 posters, they are a very knowledgeable group. I particularly value the input of the ever-calm and supremely balanced Mr Schizoid - we may not always have seen eye-to-eye in the past, but I am confident that we can work together as a strong group".

Will look for Lee Jones at tighthead, Gray at scrum half and Chunk on the wing in the summer internationals.

Whilst understandable, I think that this decision shows a terrible lack of ambition.

Conspiracy theory time. I think Robbo is secretly still on the RFU payroll. After the shambles of his stint as England boss the execs decided an infiltration job would be more up his street. They got him the perfect cover as an English exile with a grudge against his former employers, as reflected in his earlier comments of England being arrogant. I mean, where would someone get such a ridiculous idea...

It's no coincidence that Scotland have not beaten England and have gotten progressively worse since Andy took the reigns

well I hope to God that the support coaches know what they're doing, and actually have a say in selection.

To be honest, wind back 18 months and everybody thought he was doing a good job; the whitewash is unacceptable but if he moves on and picks a young forward-minded team in the summer and we give Australia a good fight and beat the others with room to spare then I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. Are we honestly suggesting the man who played a flanker at scrum half as a better option?
I don't like this but the decision has been made, there is nothing to be gained from staying away or stopping the support. Will you stay away if we win every game from now to the last game of next year's six nations and we had a grand slam game?

to be honest this reeks of Robinson having more influence in the SRU than he should. Whilst I appreciate that he has progressed the team on, he's seriously shot the SRU in the foot of late and our progress has gone into reverse.

Robinson got bullied by the RFU, like in the case of bullies, he's now exerting his dominance on a lesser union and trying to build it in his image. This is no longer about making Scotland do well, its about Robinson proving he can run the show to those who doubted him before. Which to me is ringing alarm bells and flashing red warning lights, especially given his awful selections. I think its going dangerously towards power play.

Well what has happened happened and wouldn't have happened any other way. The SRU have broken their word.

We still have to support the players who will always try their best. It's players like Cairns, King, Grove, Harley et al who I feel sorry for who for unknown reasons are not deemed worthy or ready to be included in the Scotland team.

We all need to give the players in the Pro teams and the Scotland squad our best support, and hope that the other coaching changes and return from injury of players like Kelly Brown make the difference.

Yes the SRU are as big a bunch of lying tw*ts as Robinson is a lying t**t. We should try to get them all binned - and those other jokers trying to assist the feckin Bath Buffoon.
