Re: Newcastle v Sale
Stating the bleeding obvious but a must win game for Falcons. Realistically, if Falcons don't win this I can't see them staying up (bar the Championship winners being eligible). It sounds like Sale were an absolute shambles last week, so the question is whether they will still be in a state of shock or will Diamond have galvanised them in time? I firmly believe it will be the fformer and can see Falcons getting the much needed win.
(p.s. We'll try and do you a favour on Sunday too )

Sale are looking very lightweight in the second row, both are excellent in the lineout but in the tight work and in the mauls they will lack grunt. The PI centres are good head one but when running lines force them to turn and tackle they are weak. If Falcons maintain their discipline and play the territory battle they could win this.

Aye, with an underpowered second row and a suspect tighthead Falcons are really going tho have to try to put pressure on the set piece.
This will probably be the last northern derby for a while, I hope it is at least a good game.

Unless we are playing Leeds in the championship...

Well, you got a result tonight so you're not down yet. Makes Wasp's game tastier.
Re: Newcastle v Sale
Well played, Falcons, great result - what on earth is going on with Sale and what was Richie Geay thinking?

ASBO, very good point. TRP reported recently that maybe the deal wasn't quite done and Toulouse were interested. He could walk into most sides, so why Sale?
Well done Falcons, this is really going to be tight!

Get in, you Falcons! Didn't even know this was on last night. Eases some pressure off of my team, and maybe we can give you some hope with a win on Sunday too.
