Triple H No Sells Warrior Job?
The L.A Times has been conducting interviews in the build up to Wrestlemania and during an interview with HHH he said this on his infamous match with The Ultimate Warrior....
Now, correct me if i am wrong, but wasn't this 'job' down to his involvement in the infamous 'MSG Incident' where he broke Kayfabe with X-Pac, Nash and HBK?!
If he would sign The Ultimate Warrior to a one-day contract to squash him at a future WrestleMania:
"It's funny, a lot of people bring that up in a negative way like it was this terrible thing in my life. While working with him personally wasn't the highlight of my life from a business standpoint, for me to go to me first WrestleMania and wrestle a legendary figure in the business -- and that is what he was and is -- like the Ultimate Warrior, a Hall of Fame superstar in the business in my first WrestleMania appearance, squash or not, was a mind blowing thing for me. I was thrilled to be in that position and to have that match with the Ultimate Warrior. I was thrilled with the fact that at that time Vince McMahon was willing to put me in that role. The Ultimate Warrior wasn't there till the day of the show, so I had to do all the promotion for that match. I wanted Vince McMahon to look at me as a guy he could count on to handle the return of a guy that he was hoping would be a huge impact on the business. He had the trust in me and I would do a good job with it. So to me, that was nothing but a good experience. Potentially, I could bring him back and get the win."

Re: Triple H No Sells Warrior Job?
Ive got HHH's book ' making the game ' and in that he talks about the msg incident where he and the other kliq members hugged in the ring. He says in that that the punishent was him not winning the KOTR 96' which he was originaly meant to win ( this was obviously gave to Austin)
Him jobbing to warrior had nothing to do with it though because correct me if im wrong but it was at the wrestlemania in which undertaker fought diesel, so the msg incident hadnt even happened then.

Re: Triple H No Sells Warrior Job?
Yeah it was at WM 19....the main event was the Iron Man Match of Hart v Michaels.
HHH was still Hunter Hearst Helmsley.....he introduced Sable that night and then went on to fued with Mark Mero, who he brawled with after the Warrior bout.
That said, I don't think he would have been THAT thrilled when Vince broke the news. Warrior no sold his finisher for instance. For a guy trying to make it in the company, he had to be peed that a old timer was coming back and completely destroying him

though your right when you say it was the iron man match as the main event.

It was mania 12.
Gotta love the Trippers delusion here. He didn't need to do a damn thing to build that match. As soon as it was announced that The Ultimate Warrior was returning all the work was done. Anyone could have been HHH for that day and the effect would have been the same. The people wanted to see the Warrior. Hell I bought the video of the PPV on the strength of it.

Yeah, I don't see Trips doing a lot of "promotion" for the match.
However I don't doubt for a second that he was happy to do the job and be in that position. He's on the big show getting a big pay day. It's his first WM match, he's losing to the Warrior who no one would expect him to beat anyway (since it was his return). I don't question that he was anything but ecstatic to be included on the show.

haha its easily done mate. Although seeing as ive got this mania on video its kinda hard for me to forget seeing as ive watched it about a million times since I was a kid.
had some great matches WM12... Warriors return, undertaker vs diesel, the street fight between piper and goldust, the iron man match and the first match was the 6 man tag between Vader/Owen hart/bulldg vs yogozuna/Jake the snake Roberts/Ahmed Johnson. I remember Vader being one of my favs and getting goosebumps when Vince McMahon and king get interupted by '' ITS TIME, ITS TIME, ITS.. VADER.. TIME! ''.
Good times
