If you're struggling to find players for your squad, use www.transfermarkt.co.uk and search for players from your country, it should give you several options for your squad.
Each country is allowed to call up a maximum of FOUR legends from days gone by (seeing as it's a fantasy tournament).
The definite rule on Legends.
Players who are currently still active can be called up as legends, but it will take up one of your 4 legends spaces. Also the four legends in your squad must be labelled as legends to signify they are your four legends in their prime. I agree that it might be better if it was purely players who had retired, but I will leave the rule open so anyone could choose someone from years gone by or recent times. It widens the pool of players to be honest.
For example, Thierry Henry would be the guy running around the MLS, but Thierry Henry (Legend) would be the guy in his prime at Arsenal. And no, you can't have two of the same player (one as legend and one as normal) as that would be stupid.

- Spoiler:
- Seeing as it's little over 2 months until the real thing, just wondering who'd be interested in taking part in a fantasy version of the tournament?
Basically, 16 countries are taking part, so if we get 16 participants (myself plus 15) we all get randomly assigned a country, pick our own 23 man squad for that country, then we play out the real fixtures for the Tournament.
You write out your starting XI, short tactics and substitutions and the fixtures will be voted on by everyone not in the same group, ie if you're in Group A you only need to vote on Groups B, C and D.
Pre-existing suspensions do not affect who you can pick, ie Rooney available for England, Toulalan and Anelka available for France, etc.
Transfers between countries are not permitted.
Quarter finals/semi finals/final will be voted on by anyone who isn't in that tie.
So, who's in?

Futsal is the version with the little ball I believe. Like you see Brazilian youngsters playing with no shoes on.

Yeah that's what I thought - it's indoor and with a smaller, less bouncy ball. It's supposed to give good technique and skill...
If you're struggling for legends, what about Aleksandr Mostovoi? I always remember him playing for Celta Vigo.

If we're allowed players from different sports as legends then I'm getting in some Portuguese rifle champion.

Do the Dutch have any stars in other sports? I think they're good at darts but I don't reckon Raymond Van Barneveld is the answer. Sure, he can throw darts at opponents but he'd have to run off to go and retrieve them from peoples eyeballs and it'd ruin my defensive shape.

The Dutch have great Kick Boxers/K1/MMA fighters like Badr Hari, Remy Bonjaski and Alistair Overeem

Ah, I've heard of Overeem!
I'll get him in to play when De Jong is injured. You won't notice much difference in style of play, it's just less likely that the opposition players will get up again after a boot to the chest.

Overeem is an absolute beast
If anyone can knock out Brock Lesnar in the first round must be increidbly powerful
Anyway, still trying to draft up 23 Englishmen

The Reem is the only MMA fighter to win a K1 tournament and he is a beast of a fighter, Hari is an unbelivable Kickboxer and has won a few K1 championships in his time

If there were transfers or atleast a lack of legends id stay comparing polish/greek,Ukrainian legends to french/spanish/english legends is a no contest realistically and it's just going to make it a hell of a lot more difficult if not pointless for the smaller sides taking part tbh

Re: Euro 2012 Fantasy League
If we find a new Irish manager (or if Dicey wants he can tout for the French job and swap with the Irish job) then we'll start without Poland, who will get default losses.
The business end is the QF's anyway.

I tell you what, although I love the Dutch I reckon they'll be easier to tout to a newcomer
I'd swap for Poland, I'd like the challenge with them, and their group is beatable.
