If you're struggling to find players for your squad, use www.transfermarkt.co.uk and search for players from your country, it should give you several options for your squad.
Each country is allowed to call up a maximum of FOUR legends from days gone by (seeing as it's a fantasy tournament).
The definite rule on Legends.
Players who are currently still active can be called up as legends, but it will take up one of your 4 legends spaces. Also the four legends in your squad must be labelled as legends to signify they are your four legends in their prime. I agree that it might be better if it was purely players who had retired, but I will leave the rule open so anyone could choose someone from years gone by or recent times. It widens the pool of players to be honest.
For example, Thierry Henry would be the guy running around the MLS, but Thierry Henry (Legend) would be the guy in his prime at Arsenal. And no, you can't have two of the same player (one as legend and one as normal) as that would be stupid.

- Spoiler:
- Seeing as it's little over 2 months until the real thing, just wondering who'd be interested in taking part in a fantasy version of the tournament?
Basically, 16 countries are taking part, so if we get 16 participants (myself plus 15) we all get randomly assigned a country, pick our own 23 man squad for that country, then we play out the real fixtures for the Tournament.
You write out your starting XI, short tactics and substitutions and the fixtures will be voted on by everyone not in the same group, ie if you're in Group A you only need to vote on Groups B, C and D.
Pre-existing suspensions do not affect who you can pick, ie Rooney available for England, Toulalan and Anelka available for France, etc.
Transfers between countries are not permitted.
Quarter finals/semi finals/final will be voted on by anyone who isn't in that tie.
So, who's in?

Re: Euro 2012 Fantasy League
Get ready for the controversy.
For calculating the results, i've just decided to add up the scores for each fixture and divide by the amount of votes. Then rounded to the nearest whole number. It works out fairer to some than to others, so I expect a backlash.

Think the extra goal per three winning votes rule might apply here Marky?

I know. 11 divided by 8 votes = 1.375, 4 divided by 8 votes = 0.5
1.375 rounded to nearest whole number = 1
0.5 rounded to nearest whole number = 1
Harsh, but constant throughout. Unless enough people complain

It's an option in some cases I suppose, where results came out like the Ukraine/Sweden one. Your call though, I was happy with a draw!

Tables updated.

Well done Dicey, although until I made it slightly fairer for those with more votes we were a 1-1 draw.

My game with Olly is now huge. Defeat, and i'm out of the tournament!
If Ireland beat Spain by default, they'll be on 6 points, and if I lose to Italy they'll be on 6 points. I need at least a draw...

I reckon i could do the Czech's.
Currently in talks with some big name peformers for the pre match dressing room party. Also holding a telethon to raise money so we can take a bus to the stadium instead of donkey's.
Should be a good weekend.

I was thinking that myself, it would also make the Ireland/Italy match huge as both would want to avoid possibly France in the next round

You write out your starting XI, short tactics and substitutions and the fixtures will be voted on by everyone not in the same group, ie if you're in Group A you only need to vote on Groups B, C and D.
Where does it say that Bull?

If Ireland beat Spain by default, they'll be on 6 points, and if I lose to Italy they'll be on 6 points. I need at least a draw...
The best you can hope for is a draw, there is no way you are getting through my defence

Dicey, deadline is tonight, everyone knows it's Monday, but I will be brutally harsh on those who haven't posted tactics in time without prior notice.
So it's in everyone's best interests to get their tactics in, or suffer a default defeat.

Only one person PM'd me to say they wont be able to get their tactics in and could I copy their Week 1 tactics, if you have no time, just copy your Week 1 tactics and paste the right fixture!
