Nick may correct me, but I think it is largely due to how SAF wants to play. Rooney up front, with Welbeck and Young alongside him in 4-3-3.

Even if they went 4-4-2 he would most probably still play Welback as it gives the team a width option up front. Lil Pea is a much more central player.

I disagree there actually, I'd say Sturridge is the better of the two although it's pretty much a pick 'em in some ways.

I don't think that's the case with 4-3-3 tbh otherwise currently their best player in Antonio Valencia wouldn't be playing which would be pretty silly atm with his form thumbsup

I tend to see United using a 4-4-2 with Valencia on the right and Young left. Rooney and Welbeck seem to be the preferred pairing up top and I can see the argument for Welbeck doing more, I just reckon Hernandez would take the chances Welbeck has been missing.

It's a cross between 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 with United as Rooney likes to drop into midfield. I reckon a) Hernandez is more prolific and b) He's more solid than Welbeck.

I've sent a PM to Russell to give him the low down on the Euro Division. Think it's a good guide for newcomers!

You need to keep track of all dealings (not that everyone does) to cover your arse. When you put transfers in and out, add the amount involved. Including part exchanges for other players. If you get a bonus, include it in your transfer in ("£2M bonus").

With your money, you can either offer to buy other players on their team's page, they will reply on your page. If someone makes an offer on your page, it's courtesy to find their page to reject/accept/counter offer on. Or you can use one of your two weekly TP's. I got in trouble for doing more than 2 in a week, so be careful. Using the website www.transfermarkt.co.uk you can search for players and the value as stated on their website is the amount you have to pay. The TP Thread page will have the finer details. (TP stands for Transfers Pending, which was the old league's system)

The limit for TP signings at the moment is £18.5M. You may notice you have two players who's values are over the limit, this is because everyone was able to sign 2 star players to a value of £35M at the start. You've got Ozil and Richards. (Richards was £16M, but at the start the limit was £15M). Bear in mind that if you accept an offer for a star player and have bags of cash to spend, you can't sign anyone over the limit until the end of the season when everyone has the option to sign another star player.

The only problem with TP's is that you will need to search through to make sure someone doesn't already have the player you want to sign. Any players you sign/deals you make need to be confirmed on the transfer confirmation page.

With tactics, you get your 2 injuries on a Monday morning, they cannot be included in your tactics. Tactics are due by Wednesday night. See Week 7 for your next fixture (Week 6 is the Cup, and you're out. Sorry bout that.) Have a look through each league's tactics pages for a clue on how to write your tactics.

With voting, you have until Friday night to get your votes in. Basically you look through that week's fixtures in League B (as you're in League A), look through the tactics submitted, and in a Private Message to Hero, you send what the scores of each match are in your opinion, complete with scorers and a little feedback if you have any. If you get both your tactics and votes in on time, you add £2M to your budget (but remember to say why you've added £2M to your budget (for example, "£2M tactics and voting bonus") or it can get messy). If you win your fixture you add £2M as a win bonus, if you draw you add £1M as a draw bonus, if you lose, well, you lose.

It seems like a lot of work, but it really isn't. Once you grasp the concept it's easy and fun. Make conversation on the homepage. Hell, even explore the Wrestling forum on this site if you get bored! And message me/text me if you have any other questions.

Research your squad. I have a word document on my laptop with my squad and tactics saved, it's like my managerial scrapbook. Similar to you using a pen and paper while playing Football Manager. Figure out which formation you want to use, then figure out which players you want to keep and which ones you want to sell. Lawyers offers are every monday, everyone will get two cash offers for their players completely at random, you can either accept or reject them. If you accept them, confirm it on the transfer confirmation page.

P.S. Don't be disheartened if you lose your first couple of games, there's a settling in period and you should use it to get to grips with the tactics and perfect them. Only 3 league games to go, and you're nailed on to be in the lower division for Season 2, so i'd advise you use them to get used to the tactics and what's required and prepare for Season 2.

I'm pretty much addicted to this, it's like Football Manager only you can't get sacked, there's 7 league games per season, one cup competition, and you can't be screwed over by the computer.

Think i've covered everything. Any problems ask me or Hero (in charge of the league).

Oh, and you can swear in these messages but not on the forum. So suck my Kumquat.

No no, I kinda agree with that too. Hes used in the 442 as the out and out striker but does a lot of running up top and out into the channels, workhorse where as Chicharito is more of an in the box predator.

Anyone can pick England's Euro 2012 squad.

What would be your Team GB Olympic football squad? Bearing in mind Stuart Pearce said those involved in Euro 2012 wont be considered, and the Under 23's rule.

I don't actually have an answer for this, it's tough to decide!

I would lay off Young. Yes it was a blatant dive, but then have a go at the ref for allowing it.

Fact is 95 per cent of players in the PL, when just getting a "nudge", would play for the penalty.

He went for it, and was lucky to get it. Worst that could have happened is he would have got a yellow card. I am not condoning it, but I doubt he is any different from any other player in that situation. That goes for QPR as well.

Because the offside wasn't given, they can't take that into consideration. It would impact on the all the decisions that happened after.

The question was is he the last man, and did he make contact. Yes to both of those.

It is wrong common sense wise, but it is a cruel world

I think I'll pass on that offer Nando, Gonzalez can play anywhere in midfield and Clichy is not a proper first team player.

I would say Wellbeck and Hernandez should rotate they offer different things, amount of gamers Hernandez does not score he offers nothing.

I don't think Russell is going to be dealing on any of those offers any time soon TBH.

Olly, why did you sign Drogba for £12M? £7M plus Polo is a decent deal for him but a loss for what you paid.
