GM Mock re boot round #1
As the mock seems to have slowed down from round #4 I figure it would be be better to re do round #1, hopefully we can do a quick 3 round mock before the draft in 23 days.
Ill keep the same coaches as last time as it's easier, however, if you missed out on a team, or would like to swap one of your 2nd teams post and let me know and ill change em around.
Also to keep things simpler there will be no trades in this mock.
1. Colts (TM Moot) Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford
2. Skins, through Rams (Mikeygnfl) Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
3. Vikings (Lowlandbrit) Matt Kalil, OT, USC
4. Browns (Derbyblue) Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
5. Bucs (PR4WN) Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
6. Rams via trade with Washington (Barney 92) Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State
7. Jags (Forward Pass) Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame 6'3 227lbs

Happy to stick with the Pack.
Disappointed the other one fizzled out but I'm not surprised as I was running out of known quantities and I watch College football whereas plenty of others dont!

I'd be more than happy to swap the Fins for the Gmen if whoever picked them doesn't want them again.

Re: GM Mock re boot round #1
Eh, I'd be quite happy to keep the Rams and Ravens. I'd prefer the Rams because of their different circumstances this time around but I'd lie to have the pair of them. If someone wants to swap for the Ravens however I'm okay with that.

I'll happily keep the Bills. Given their free agent signings my pick in the original draft is looking pretty good but maybe different players will drop to me.

I don't know too much about the players going into the second round so I'd like a team with a 1st round pick. Sorry Maxwell.

Re: GM Mock re boot round #1
Pretty simple, you get a team if someone with two is willing to give one of theirs up, then following the proper draft order (as it's sorted this time) we get to pick our players. I imagine we'll probably only go to the 3rd round at most as the 4th round for the original died, we also don't have that much time with the draft being in a few weeks.TheBrahmaBull wrote:how does this work?

Shame we can't do trades, would have happily dropped down a few spots from 4th.

Actually you can have the Ravens Maxwell. I won't take the Falcons off your hands though. Just leave them for a newcomer to have a team.

I'm happy enough to stick with Carolina. Don't think there's a queue of people waiting to grab them! I'm not aware of any Carolina fans on the forum to be honest. Anyone know if there are any?

I'll take the Browns again.
Number-25- There is Glasgowhibs, if you'd rather take someone else you can always PM him see if he wants to take the Panthers as he took them last year.

Less than 2 weeks until the draft now - maybe just enough time to get through a 1st round of this?

Re: GM Mock re boot round #1
Get back in line there GB1919 - my Panthers are still on the clock!!
With the 9th pick the Panthers take Riley R..... just kiddin!!
I've been back and forward on this one - Panthers could go a ton of ways here. Almost every mock draft out there on the net has them taking Fletcher Cox at this pick now but I can't help thinking that's just become the trendy pick for them. One thing I read about him that would scare me is that he can get completely flushed out of plays when double teamed. If that's happening in college then God help him once some of those dirty big NFL O-Linemen get their hands on him. Cos of that, I'm gonna stick with my pick from our original GM mock draft:-
With the 9th pick, the Carolina Panthers select:-
Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina, 6'6", 284lbs
There are a few good DTs in this draft so if Carolina really wants to address that then they could look to do so in the 2nd round. Coples will be a beast if kept motivated and I'd bank on him enjoying playing on the same team as a guy like Cam Newton. Also, the Panthers like to take guys who have gone to college in the Carolinas so Coples is the guy here.

Haha! My mistake, seems I can't even count to 10. Still at least I went after someone you had no interest in.
Still Reiff to the Bills in case any clarification is needed.
