jack wilshere to become a dad
ENGLAND soccer sensation Jack Wilshere is to become a father at 19.
The mum-to-be is Lauren Neal, 22 - from whom the Arsenal ace recently split after a three-year romance.
Pals hope she and midfielder Jack - star of England's latest games against Wales and Ghana - may now try to rekindle their love.
Jack was "shocked but delighted" when his ex told him she was expecting their child, pals said last night.
He and Lauren have made plans to prepare for the birth together, even though they ended their three-year romance at the start of the year.
Jack has vowed to be "a good dad" and is planning to attend hospital check-ups and antenatal classes.
Despite their break-up, the pair have remained close and Lauren realised she was pregnant in late January.
One friend said: "They're both delighted. It took time to sink in as it wasn't exactly planned.
"Although Jack and Lauren are not technically together at the moment, they're still close. He has vowed to stand by her and support her.
"At the moment they're living apart, but Jack's very keen to see as much of the baby as possible when it is born. Who knows, it might bring them back together officially."
Hairdresser Lauren is due to give birth in August. She and £50,000-a-week Arsenal midfielder Jack - whose family live close to hers in Hertfordshire - split after their relationship hit the rocks.
Another friend said: "Jack's career has suddenly taken off and they both realise it is difficult to sustain a strong relationship at such a time and at their young age.
"But Jack recognises his responsibilities and wants to be a good father, even though they're not together.
"In the past he's got into a bit of trouble off the pitch, but he's determined his son or daughter will become his main focus when he's not playing football."
is it me or is he starting to go down the same route gazza did?

19 is so young to have a child, the lad may be grown up on the pitch but he sure doesn't look grown up off it. The fool.
