Broad ruled out for 3 weeks

Stuart Broad has been ruled out of all cricket for three weeks including the current Indian Premier League in order to continue his rehabilitation from a right calf strain sustained during England’s recent tour of Sri Lanka. Broad will be assessed regularly over the coming weeks with a view to returning to cricket with Nottinghamshire in early May.

He has quite a few injuries doesn't he? Missed part of the 2010 Ashes, missed most of the World Cup and I think he missed the end part of last summer as well. Let's just hope he'll be fine for the South African Tests.

yeah Flower has said he's a bit concerned by Broad's injuries. TBH he probably shoudn't have played the test in SL, so you feel the England management made a mistake there. Still, three weeks is nothing really, gives him a chance to get a decent rest before the start of the season.

Mad - as a champion of the county game, I have to point out that the season is already a week old.

Could well be a blessing in disguise as he might have aggravated his injury in the IPL. Hope he is fit for the WI series.
