Biggest fight in boxing

Beside the obvious Manny vs Floyd which this thread isn't about. Is Lopez vs Gamboa potentially the most exciting match up in boxing at this moment. I have been thinking about this fight for a while and can't really split them but would if pushed just go for Gamboa. He's got the quicker hands and is a bit more skillful and was impressed with just how aggressive he was against Solis. Anyone got any fights they think more exciting?

Only if you have 2 good heavyweights but we don't have any. Vitali maybe was but imo he is over the hill.

im with the others here, its got to be haye v wlad

both fighters have huge power and suspect chins, whats not exicting about that. its the one reason why the heavyweight division has been the blue ribbon division because the fight can change in one punch. i know it happens in other divisions but not as much

Wlad and Haye are both good, very good but they're not great, in the grand scheme of boxing a Heavyweight title fight with the level of interest this one will receive is bigger than any other fight that could get made.

Gamboa/Lopez is a great boxing match up but it wont be a significant spectacle in boxing

Wlad v Haye is the biggest fight out there at the moment for me i just hope the two aren't overly cautious, hopefully they just go for it at some point.

I am equally looking forward to a matchup between Lopez and Gamboa though, was very impressed with the way Gamboa handled Solis and he made a real statement.

Is it though because it wont do good numbers in the states they don't care about the Klitchkos and have even less love for Haye.

The up coming fight between Ortiz and Berto is a pretty big match up, with Tim Bradley against the winner. Wouldn't mind watching Donaire vs Agbeko or Mares. Donaire could aslo fight Rigondeaux or Moreno, doubt it will happen this year though. As you mention Lopez vs Gamboa is huge, two of leading top 10 p4p fighters. Also, Gurrero vs Marquez, Martinez vs Ward, Pascal vs Hopkins.

Berto/Ortiz a big fight? and Bradley against the winner?

The best fights are usually one with power and the other moving away, Ali - Frazier those kind of fights, so I think it could potentially be a top fight, I know I know it's not like Wlad has Ali's speed, but what he lacks in speed he makes up for with his jab to keep David at bay, Wlad's too cautious for an absolute tear up unlike Vitali but we never know!

For me this fight has to be the biggest fight this year, but I think it's purely down to the fact they're heavyweights had they had the exact same careers at Welterweights it would be a big fight, but nothing too special. (in terms of revenue) Also Pascal Hopkins!! Hey Pacman - Moseley could still be a belter!
