Ultimately I don't think RVP really wants to go.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
If Madrid come in for RVP I think he'd be torn, afterall how could you not be. However, unlike Nasri I don't think he's completely controlled by money and playing time is more important so he won't go to City to be 3rd or 4th choice.
Re: Big Premier League Signings
I think it comes down to whether he would rather be the biggest fish is a large pond or an average sized fish in a massive pond. To me he seems to thrive on being the main man so I expect (and hope) he'll stay put. Not every top player finishes with a massive trophy cabinet. There are plenty of players better than him who've retired with little tangible evidence of their success (£££ notwithstanding). Anyway, who's to say he can't win anything with Arsenal?
If RVP is off then Podolski can play up top, Theo could be converted (unconverted if you like), or the inevitably large transfer fee they'd receive could go towards a replacement.

West Ham have offered £7m for Bas Dost, that's a big signing, he's 6ft 5.

I'm amazed no team in England has ever come in for Kim Kållstrom, he's ridiculously underated and I think he's really going to terrorise England at the euros.
Simon Kjær is also a very good player who has never been mentioned.

That definitely deserves a place on the table, but he needs to go to Stoke.

More reports that Hazard is going to Man Utd but I'll believe it when I see it.
I think Vertonghen will go to Arsenal. I'd of thought Wenger would want to reunite the partnership of Vermaelen and Vertonghen.

I really hope Vertonghen comes to Arsenal, as he'll be able to link well with Vermaelen - we desperately need more strength and depth in defence and he can play across the back.

A lot of them are in French (and are 100% unproven) but if people keep reporting it for long enough, it tends to happen.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
From what I was seeing last night on Twitter there seemed to be reports stating Chelsea were emerging as favourites now as his agent was spotted in London.
Being that Hazard is playing at Wembley though in 2 days I would have expected that.

Well just because hes playing there doesn't mean his agent would follow. I'm sure he represents more people than just Hazard. Still think hes just leveraging Man City for more money though

If Hazard joins we will only have 3 Belgians!

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Few Chelsea rumours:
Sturridge to City, apparently Danny wants more game time.
Hulk to Chelsea for £30million, that's the max we're willing to go apparently
Gregory Van Fer Wiel to Chelsea, more and more likely apparently and with Bos leaving its becoming more clear he's probably be on his way
Hazard to Chelsea, the rumours are growing in strength. No one really knows, don't think he even does
Falcao to Chelsea, rumours of cash + Torres. Pretty sure this won't happen.
Azpilicuerta to Chelsea, only if we don't sign VDW.
---
Courtois is still out on loan. Hazard won't join United IMO

Its a rumour that has grown in strength, also rumours of Yaya moving to Chelsea are still hanging around.
As I said they were rumours not concrete though by any means.

Paddy Power have suspended betting on Hazard citing a large number of bets for him going to Chelsea as the reason.

Ah, my mistake, still I'd imagine hes in England for negotiations. Not sure why Hazard would be that keen on Chelsea, in need of a major rebuild still, the Manchester clubs would offer a more immediate shot at trophies I'd think.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
At City he's just another player and there is no guarentee he will play every week, United don't play in a way that will accommodate Hazard. Maybe at Chelsea he can be a big fish alongside Mata and Marin?
---Romeu-Ramires---
Marin - Mata - Hazard
--------Hulk---------
Doesn't look too shabby

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Hulk is far from pants. He has everything needed to be an excellent footballer, power, speed, agility, the ability to beat a man one on one and has a tremendous left foot. Don't know why people are so down on him, must be cool these days to go against the grain and claim people who are being talked up are rubbish, he looks a good player, nowhere near 30m but its modern football, a 20m buy will be seen as a bargain these days.
Chelsea will have a very good side next year if they sign both Hulk and Hazzard, not to mention Torres coming back into form. Marin is a very good player, always rated him at Bremen and is like many of modern day players, small, agile and quick and very skilful.

TSC, if Hulk went to United you would suddenly be praising him as a world beater!
£30million is a bit steep but the market is so inflated nowadays. Agree on Marin, he is superb

Re: Big Premier League Signings
No I don't want him because every single time I've seen him (and I've seen him at least 5 times) he's been absolutely shocking. He's rated because he's about the width of a big tree. There's better out there for less.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
I don't think Marin is as good as you guys make him out to be. I think he has the potential but isn't ever going to reach it.
For me Hulk is a average player, definately not worth £30 million, more like £15 million. I would still have Torres > Hulk. I think Torres will come good as the main man next season.

As I said before Hulk and Lukaku on the pitch together is terrifying! Add in Mikel and that's a whole lot of player!
Marin cost us very little so isn't a gamble and could be an absolute steel, the problem has been that since Ozil left he's been playing at AMC. If we get him back out wide he'll shine. That also allows Mata to come back inside rather than being wasted out wide

Gylfi doesn't count. It's all about players who are new to the PL. He'll go under the other section if it's confirmed.

I don't know how you can make a presumption that a player will never reach his potential. He has genuine quality and is a classy player, the guy is 23, harly towards the end of his career. He could flourish at a club like Chelsea, playing at a higher level.
He was superb in the season before last when playing with Ozil, then when he moved on, he struggled and didn't have the best of seasons, like any player could suffer from.

I don't know why you'd bother replacing Bosingwa for Van Der Wiel, it's replacing like for like, Ivanovic or Luiz would be better options at right back.

Van der Wiel is young and can grown, Luiz is not a right back at all and has never played there (to my knowledge). Ivanovic is first choice right back with VDW as back up. Also if Cahill/Luiz get injured Ivanovic can go to centre back.
Anyways

Luiz is a similar player to Micah Richards and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him moved out of centre back over the next few years.

I don't think his passing is good enough to be a midfielder. At right back he can play to his strengths with powerful runs and hard tackling.
