Same as Arsenal we only have Richardson (or whatever our young RB is called) while Sagna is recovering from his broken leg

Ramires?
Hardly a midfield destroyer. He was playing as a winger at the end of the season.

Cannot see Modric going to Chelsea. Or do UEFA's fair play rules not apply to Chelsea?

You'd be stifling Ramires forward ability that was key to Chelsea's Cl run.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Ezequiel Lavezzi joins PSG for £21m, maybe not Premier League but this is a big transfer for such a talented player who gets forgotten about because of Cavani at club level and Messi, Tevez, Aguero & Higuian at International level.
Going to be interesting to see what group PSG get in the Champions League, like Man City were last season I expect them to be in Pot 4!

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Well its done by CL success in recent history so yeah, pot 4 seems likely.
Lavezzi is lightning, 21m is a good fee for PSG. Was his contract up or something?
Also gives Napoli relief in resisting big money bids for Hamsik and Cavani.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Maicon? Can I ask the source? If true then that's a great signing, top quality right back.
Tsc, if united signed Hamsik tomorrow would you change your opinion to him being amazing? Like how Hazard was amazing but now will flop...

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Maicon was at his peak about 4 or 5 years ago and was always linked with Real Madrid but nothing materialised. Past his best in my opinion and looking for a large pay day at Chelsea. Premier League is the most demanding league physically and he's now 30........

Re: Big Premier League Signings
It's just rumours on Twitter, but from some decent sources including Sky Italia. Bale will properly have him again though. Can't see it happening though.
I have no opinion on Hamsik. I neither rate him or slate him, I've seen him do nothing ratable or slatable. And anyway, I want Hazard to flop. I support Utd, I don't go "I support United but oh, I want Eden Hazard to do well." No, if you're not with me you're against me.

And yeah, substantial talk of Maicon.
Unless hes cheap I don't see it. Wouldn't fit Chelsea youth movement one bit and would demand high wages.

Newcastle seem to have finally agreed a £5m deal for Twente's Douglas. Should be interesting to see if he can dislodge a Coloccini/S Taylor partnership next season.

Naismith = Naichance. I feel sorry for Norwich who, in Whittaker, have signed one of the worst players I have ever seen.
El Ahmadi (yet me neither) has signed for Villa. Lambo's first proper signing.

PSG are intrested in John Terry, supposedly lineing up an £8 million bid.

To replace Wilbraham?
Haven't heard anything more on Maicon. He'll go to Chelsea (maybe) because Real Madrid will be in for Piszczek.

We signed Ben Foster on a permanent deal a couple of days ago. Fantastic goalie though not really a big signing, apart from the fact he is tall.
