Friday fun - Player trade.
Simples, you must trade one of your top players for a top player of another country.
Don't come as a scottish supporter and say you want to trade Dan Parks for Dan carter as the deal won't go through. you want a top player, you have to swoop it with a top player from another country.
If someone puts up a trade, the others may shoot it down if they deem it not being a fair trade. You also have to say why you want to trade the player. Form doesn't matter much as that can be sorted, it is a class.
So if I say I will swop bismarck du Plessis, and he is rated arguable the best hooker in world rugby, I can then trade for an arguable best player in another or similar position.
So my trade will be Bismarck du Plessis for Dan Carter.
I want dan carter as we are in dire need of a playmaker, our back line will be twice as dangerous with dan Carter. Bismarck is great, but we have plenty of depth there.
Think about the pivotal positions, like 2, 8, 9, 10, 15.
Be smart about it.

Can I swap Bissie for Foden? We have some depth at FB but not at Hooker. I'd also like to add a goal-kicking attacking wing option and will happy swap Manu or Farrell for 1/2p or JOC

I'd like to swap Chris Ashton for Tommy Bowe. Ashton is not at his best and Bowe is on cracking form.

Hmmm
Ma'a Nonu (on last year's form, honest ) for Stephen Ferris. Kaino is a big gap to fill, and we have SBW as cover.
Dan Carter for Will Genia.

I'd swap Donnacha O'Callaghan for Brad Thorn.......
I'd actually consider swapping Tommy Bowe for JD2 or Jamie Roberts. Ireland have an abundance of talented outside backs but are lacking a big powerful midfielder of top quality.

Re: Friday fun - Player trade.
I'd second the Bismarck/Foden swap and I'd quite like an all round 12 with a solid defence game, a good attacking game and a huge boot to take pressure off Flood so can I swap someone for Frans Steyn? Would Ashton be an acceptable trade? I admit that's optimistic but he's a "world class" player and "nobody" else is as good at "tracking" as him. (Note the inverted commas)

Schalk Burger For Sergio Parrisse. We have entirely too many loose forwards in SA .Schalk is very replaceable as he's undoubtedly found out this season. What we dont have is extremely good number 8's. Spies is okay i guess , so to Keegan daniels,Vermulen but outside of Spies the other two are untried.Oh and Parrisse deserves a world class team as he's a world class player

I have been so desperate watching Beauxis play that I would swap IRB player of the year Dusautoir for any decent international 10 (of course would settle for Dan carter in the end ).

I'll rather swop Pierre Spies for Parrise than burger. Anyday of the week and twice on Saturdays.

Dylan Hartley for Schalk Brits? A reliably good hooker who can carry the ball would be handy.
I would also offer a promising international with some caps in the bag in Corbisiero (we'd still have Mullan and Marler) in exchange for a promising international with a couple of caps (and some tries) in Welsey Fofana (Fofana/Manu option in the centres? Yes please!).

Well in my view Scotland have two top quality opensides in Barclay and Rennie, and I'd happily trade on of those for a top quality 10.
John Barclay for Dan Carter. Seems fair to me.

I don't see why we'd want to swap away our first choice LH for Fofana when we already have centres like Allen, Lowe and JJ who can all tackle!

I'd drive Farrell to Scotland in exchange for Rennie.

Because we have two looseheads who are better and no IC with that amount of creativity or try scoring finese?

Fair enough. I think that Fofana is currently one of the most overrated centres in Europe and I wouldn't bench him were he available as France, England, Wales or Ireland manager

Why would SA swap ANY of their backrow for another backrow? You have the best depth there on the planet it seems.
I asked this on another thread - would Strauss be a consideration for the 8 shirt?

For Ireland, it has to be Sexton out (Madigan to start at 10) and Adam Jones in.

I'd have Adam Jones for Ireland and Will Genia for Leinster. I'd be willing to trade O'Driscoll because he's getting on and we have some good young centres.

Re: Friday fun - Player trade.
Most of these swaps I'd have no problem vito ing!!!!
Sexton, average international 10 for a WC TH?! no chance!
Burger for Parisse?! No chance! 3 years ago maybe.
Farell for Barcley, maybe but not Rennie!
I'd like to swap Phillips for Mike Blair, but not many others would I want to lose from Wales first team.
What kind of 10 could I swap Hook for?

Average international 10, yeah, right.
Is that why he is likely to be the starting lions 10 at this point?

I'd give D'Arcy for current Nonu. He may not be in form but I think O'Driscoll could bring the best out of him. Maybe swap Earls for Guildford too.

Re: Friday fun - Player trade.
Not with his international form he won't!! He misses kicks, and doesn't have anywhere near the same level of confidence. With Phillips like to be starting 9, and Roberts starting 12 I'd say Preistland is looking as good an option as Sexton right now.

Now your talking!
But with 1/2p's form and goal kicking I couldn't leave him out of the side. Nor could I oust Cuthbert or North. Who would play 13 if we lose JD2? For Foden who I'd play on the bench.
Sorry

Biltong, who is RSAs' best creative centre ? England could do with a quality re-inforcement in this area. Trade for one of our back rows where we seem to have plenty, or one of our wingers, ditto.

Between that and the 6N, he has hardly set the world alight.
His Leinster form is incredible, but thats a lower level, and within his comfort zone. What can I say, he is very good at club level and struggles on the international stage, he isn't the first and won't be the last!
For the record I think Flood would be our best option knowing the nailed on players around him, Bowe, North, Roberts, Phillips etc...

Who are 'we'?
I'd think Yachvilli would be easy enough to get, the French would murder a solid 10, or creative centre!

Biltong, what would it take to get Heinke Van Der Merwe? He doesn't get a look in with the Boks so I presume it wouldn't take much. He'd be better on the bench than Tom Court IMO.

Behave CJ, you have enough of ours in your rugby and cricket test teams.
Best creative centre?
There are a few younger ones coming throguh such as Johan Sadie and JJ Engelbrecht, settled ones I rate Frans Steyn as the best as he is strong and distributes well, Lambie as well if he is selected there, then there is also Ebersohn and de Jongh, although de Jongh doesn't offload much.
Heinke v d Merwe might never get a look in to the Boks, he has been gone for a while now.

Get a quality passing 10 in the French midfield and Fofana and Rougerie will cause mass damage. If Ireland wanted Yachvilli I'd imagine the French would except young Madigan in exchange.

I don't think many are playing by the rules here. It was top class for top class wasn't it?
I that case, SOB for James O'Connor.
Best utility around.
I'd stick him in at 12 for the time being.
