Might work for Esso instead. They have better OH&S policies in place.

Who better to advise about Health and Safety than someone who has been in major accidents

Malfunction on the Heli and we had to put down in the sea just off the rocks. No major injuries and the Heli could be repaired

Re: The Reaction Game
Back in the day when i first started working offshore, It was terrible conditions still. Piper Alfa was still fairly recent and no safety measure had been fully put in place. Everytime i got on a Heli, i scanned around at my colleagues and tried to picture every face and would think, Which one of us wont be returning.

Re: The Reaction Game
It was really that bad, people were blown off platforms, electricuted due to no safety measures and many more incidents. It didnt start to improve until the mid 90's.
Some places in Africa i will not go on a platform because they are that dangerous

Re: The Reaction Game
I heard some stories here where a guy was blown to bits when a valve on a gas pipe failed. Barely a trace left of the poor fellow.

Re: The Reaction Game
So what are Clare people then? Aside from the sheep shagging they must have two left feet, and have brittle wrists can't play any sport for their lives, it's like watching a blind man play tennis when you watch Clare play hurling. Football, the thoughts "kill me now" come to pass.

Upstarts, most successful county of all time. See in Cork, we havew this thing called hand-eye coordination. You tend to develop it after the inbreeding stops.
