Work is a bit quieter, but I have lost the urge to play these games, so no cravings at the moment!

I see you signed Kroos - great signing, one the best midfielders in Europe atm IMO and in this league too (although, don't let him take penalties!!). He's like having Modric or Alonso, but adding in German energy and consistency.

Laugh Really? Well good signing for you then Marky. Remember Ozil's rating after the World Cup? Well, that will be Kroos this time around, but with a player who can play deep or attacking playmaker and actually does it consistently well

Sodhat, you sold Kroos and Lampard to get Ozil, Kroos and Lampard could well be playing in a Champions League final this season Wink

For you I would like to say yes. In reality, his rating should be dropping. He shows flashes on brilliance for Real, but he goes missing too much. But a good Euros should cement his reputation in these leagues for another two years (or 6 seasons).

Out of the two, I would go for Kroos though.

That German side is looking really good again this summer.

Neuer
Lahm Badstuber Hummels Boateng
Khedira Kroos
Muller--Ozil--Podolski
Gomez

That would win a lot of votes in these leagues, with the possible exceptions of Badstuber and Boateng.

Also, Draxler is in their provisional squad, the player Gotze wishes he could become!! Anyone got him on here yet

Watch the Real v Bayern semi-finals again. Kroos ruled Ozil, including nearly snapping him in half at the Bernabeau (which I had the pleasure of attending Smile) Kroos was superb in both games, other than his penalty, possibly MOTM in both games.

If they ever cloned Modric and Schweinsteiger and the batches got mixed up, the outcome would be Kroos Laugh

You're going to making Hero a very regret filled man!

Although I disagree, I would take Ozil ahead of him as a game changer and he fits my teams style better as a straight up AM.

I haven't seen much of Marko Marin but I see he's coming to Chelsea which should bump his rating for me!

I've got Boateng and Badstuber as my CB pairing... But I get what you mean.

Julian Draxler? He is on my list but 5 goals and 9 assists in 46 appearances suggests he wont be rated that highly.

I do like Ozil. I think he is a top, top player. Just that Kroos is my kind of player (not like me, the kind I would like to have been).

Is everywhere, doing everything, creating, scoring, defending. I remember watching a video on youtube of Kroos and right at the start it quickly shows a picture of a pitch with all of Kroos' runs shown in bright green. Virtually the whole pitch was bright green!!! I will try and find it now

Afro, a question.

Do I try and sign a CM and play Kroos as AM, or play Kroos as the CM and sign a new AM?

It'd be;

Toulalan - Kroos
Farfan - new signing - Lopez
Soldado

or, as it stands;

Toulalan - Gonalons/new signing
Farfan - Kroos - Lopez
Soldado

Draxler is still young and improving, but he is already a really good player and will get a big move soon. He might be rated by some of the more long term managers who have heard a bit more about him (I put my PR machine into overdrive when I had him on Furious).

The Germans are going to have a lot of choice of attacking players in the next few year.

It really does depend on who the alternative DM/AM are. I would like him involved in midfield more and with Toulalan you can afford to have Kroos playing box to box. Therefore I would try to have him playing as a natural box to box CM.

Here is that video - the clip of the pitch is only momentary at around 15 seconds, but you'll see what I mean

Obviously I can't say who i'd be after as the AM, as we're all competing to sign a star player with secret voting at the end of the season, but it would be a big name.

If you can get someone of the same calibre as the others around them, then I would go for formation number 1.

Which Lopez do you have?

You could sign that chicken from Blackburn. he was really quick off the mark, even Yakubu culdn't catch him (and if there is food in the offing, Yakubu is as fast of the mark as they come.

I haven't really looked through the squads, although I though Hero had improved his a lot. Last time I looked, he was struggling to fill his bench.

I think perhaps Kroos still doesn't have the recognition because of the perception of the German league still being outside the 'big three'. Probably get some more if he has a stonker against Chelsea though.

Not quite the same, I wanted to know if anyone gets the Panther service and if they've used the Swapables (You get two free apps MTV, Sky Sports, Movies etc) and wanted to know how reliable the Sky Sports is, does the video chop, skip buffer.

Would be cool to have Sky Sports on the move.

Would be cool to have Sky Sports on the move.

I imagine it depends on the coverage wherever you may be watching. If you're using a wireless connection then it'll probably be good but if you rely on networks you may have more trouble. Orange seem to be pretty good though, lots of coverage around the country.

thumbsup for the help guys.

Nice to see you back Afro sadly I've got some bad news, you've slipped down the greatest ranking of 606 manager of all time because of your lack of activity.

Just noticed Blackburn's terrible record of 1 win and 7 defeats in their last 8 Premier League games. Olly, for one bonus point, who was the side who lost 2-0 to give Blackburn that one win in eight? Wink

I have officially retired like Azzy. Does that make a difference?

It is. This is a young man's game and when you reach the age where you can't remember how old you are without having to work it out, it's time to move aside for a younger man.

Plus concentrating on work for a change has worked wonders. I'm actually getting stuff done and am quite popular with my bosses atm
