Street Fighting
If any wrestlers past or present fought for real who overall would be the main man? im assuming that many will have Brock as the hardest but is there anyone to rival him?

Ken Shamrock would probably get a few shouts. Dynamite Kid was said to be rather tough too.

Re: Street Fighting
Wade Barrett was a legitimate bare knuckle boxer for a brief period wasn't he? His experience and his stature would make him a good bet.

I am pretty sure that Booker T took Batista out backstage in a fracas. Batista may have the muscle but if the story is true, he aint a real hard man.

Also hasn't he dithered about going into MMA for the past three years yet never truly got involved?

Re: Street Fighting
Ken Shamrock would have taken Brock out in his prime.
You could also say that Mr T and Mike Tyson would be considered in that list.
Possibly Steve Blackman was a hard one too.
Did Marc Nero have a boxing history too?

Re: Street Fighting
Depends on the stipulation, if it was a mma fight it would have to be Brock and then Shamrock (Brock has 100 lbs on Shamrock).
If it was just an all out scrap in the back then it could be anyone, we've all heard stories of much smaller men koing tough looking opponents behind closed doors.
Shamrock probably the most legit tough guy all round.

Yeah, Shamrock and Lesnar are going to be the top ones. I think Jericho says in one of his books about Haku being the single toughest person he met though. And isn't Santino a judo black belt?

Batista had signed a contract with Strikeforce to make his MMA debut and was training in one of the gracie camps down in Florida I believe but when the UFC bought out Strikeforce last year they didn't renegotiate his contract. As far as I'm aware Batista is still training in BJJ.

Wow I have a new found respect for Santino if true, to play a comedy role with a legit MA background shows great humility as well as self-assurance and a great sense of humour.

Re: Street Fighting
i have watched the legends of wrestling round table episode on tough guys. really good one to watch and the pundits/experts talk about Dan Hodge as probably the toughest guy out there. Stu hart gets a mention also.

I don't know about hardest, but the nastiest guy I've heard about was Bill Watts. Apparently, he got into a fight with a load of Navy SEALS, one of whom he particularly targeted. Somehow, the Navy guy's eye was ripped out and swallowed...by Watts.
