Time to educate referees about the ten golden rules about cuts!!!!

1. They generally aren't life-threatening when you have little snicks around the eyes!!!

2. If it isn't having any undue influence on the fight...then let it be....

3. Always let the corner have time to work on it... as sometimes cuts aren't as bad as they seem!!

4. If the fighter wants to carry on and his corner are happy...let him carry on...

5. Only horrific gashes should lead to stoppage!! Vitali-Lewis

6. Remember the old days where fighters carried on when nearly bleeding to death!!!

7. Fighters have families!! and a loss can have a major affect on bread-winning capabilities...

8. It's only blood...don't freak out...

9. Boxing is entertainment...remember fans have paid good money before you do anything premature.. (premature not a word I'm used to using!!!)

I've seen really bad cuts stopped after a few rounds, they definately should be given a chance unless its dangerous. Seems to be stopped earlier these days.

I think referees generally freak out when they see blood..
