I don't see puncey going 15, which a few experts are saying, but it has to be ingram with both Rbs going into free agency. Also not to include Ingram in the first round? Green bay may take a punt on him, as Starks looked good in playoffs, but was injured before, and Grant also been injured.
Also Ayers to giants? Was projected to go to a 3-4 team, but had a poor 40 time. So i think its too high for him now, and wrong system.

Think Texans will look to bolster their D line as they will switch to 3-4

I imagine Green Bay would pull the trigger on Ingram if he fell to #32. That said I do like Grant and Starts, but as AdZacO says, the injury bug has hit them both before.
That said I like the CB pick as we play in Nickel or higher so frequently and I can't help but wonder if Sam Shields is playing above himself because of the other two guys at the position and the simple fact he only played one year at corner at Uni.
I also like the Ryan Mallet pick by Seattle, but I wonder if they would be more tempted by the local hero Mr Locker.

Agreed about the Texans Leedscowboys, but there CB situation took a dramatic hit with the loss on Dunta Robinson and I think they reached for Kareem Jackson last year. If the "Fresh Prince" is available at 11 they will snap him up and wait till the next rounds to improve the line in what is a deep class.

Re: Graeme Swann's Cat's Mock Draft V1
I don't think the position of RB is as high priority as in the past, and Ingram is projected that high simply because hes the best of a weak RB class. Theres better value in RBs in the later rounds, and the Dolphins decision to gut the middle of their O-Line last offseason to save money didn't help either.
Ingram to Miami is such a boring pick too.
Williams would allow GB to move Woodson to safety, where I imagine he'd have a few more years of high level play compared to CB.
I'd only take a 3-4 NT this high, and Phil Taylor would be a massive reach for the Texans at 11.
Giants took a similar prospect in Clint Simtim in the 2nd round a couple of years, and Ayers is a better prospect.

To clarify, i don't think Ingram will make it out of the first round, someone will trade back into the late first if hes there. I don't think he's a top 15 pick however.

Re: Graeme Swann's Cat's Mock Draft V1
Ingram is more than the best of a week class. He is a former Heismann trophy winner.
Also your example of Simtim is a poor one, as it didnt work out. If Ayers plays end, then he is in group of alot of talent so a waste of a pick, and if he plays OLB then he too slow and cant cover, as a 4-3 olb needs to be quick, and Ayres ran a 4.84 at combine, only to improve it to 4.69 to low 4.7.
But if woodson moves to saftey, does collins move to strong saftey? Considering he has been good at FS. Also T. Williams played well in post season and should get a chance to start at CB.
Dont get me wrong i think it is a good mock, with some good picks.

Tramon Williams will start, and Sam Shields probably opposite him. Williams as a nickelback I'd imagine. There was talk of Woodson moving to safety earlier this offseason iirc, usually as part of the Asomugha talk.
A scouting report i read said he had the range to play sideline to sideline, quickness, and he could fit as a SAM OLB in a 4-3. Truth be told the Giants were a tough team to mock.

Tim Tebow, Reggie Bush and Troy Smith have won the Heisman in recent times, while Sam Bradford and Carson Palmer have also won it. I place no stock in it as an evaluation tool.

Its a fair point, when it comes to QBs. Reggie has had problems running down the middle, due to size. Ingram does not suffer from that. Although using the Heismann was a bad example, but he is mid first round talent.

Think scouting report abou ayers are very mixed. I have seen some say he has very poor turn of hips and although has good acceleration has bad top speed, so couldnt cover TE or RB. But others saying opposite. I think he will be a bust personally and wouldnt touch him in first round.

Re: Graeme Swann's Cat's Mock Draft V1
Fair enough, thats your opinion, I just don't see him as a top 15 pick, especially given the way teams are moving towards RBBC and finding role players to fill it. Theres more value imo in finding a bruiser and a finesse back midway through the draft and using the first rounder to land a blue chip player.

I just read 4 mocks who split him between the Bucs, Chargers, Jets and Saints. Hes raw, but potential should see him go in the first imo.

Very raw, mind you mike mayock rates him, and i think he is best scouter on the main sites. Notice only one is a 4-3? But you are right he will go in first.

All it takes is 1 4-3 team to scout him as a 4-3 OLB though.

very true, but with talk of him being 3-4 old or even inside, would bet he goes to a 3-4 team.

Possibly. The only 2 3-4 teams picking directly before the Giants are the Patriots and the Chargers.

love the cards pick, a lot of anyalysts have peterson dropping to 48ers, but hes definetly too good a player to fall out of the top 5

I would love for Dallas to reach for Peterson if he was there at 6 and trade with the Browns, I still think he is a top 4 prospect.

Re: Graeme Swann's Cat's Mock Draft V1
I can see Clayborn dropping out of the first round altogether. He only managed 17 reps on the bench press. That's pretty darn poor for a DE. He also has this Erb's Palsy problem in his shoulder and has character issues.
Given the recent problems with Aqib Talib I think the Bucs are probably going to looks hard at getting someone like Ryan Kerrigan or Juston Houston.

Kerrigan was gone, but doesn't Houston fit as a 3-4 OLB? Bucs are 1 of the teams I feel will probably end up moving up for a guy

Re: Graeme Swann's Cat's Mock Draft V1
I agree, I can see us trading up for Kerrigan or Aldon Smith. Even Bowers is a possibilty if he drops as far as some suggest he might.
I really can't see us picking Clayborn just because he's the only half-decent end left. He's poor value at 20 so we might use the pick on an OLB, CB or even OL.
Good mock though.
