606v2:Your style?
Just something for fun here and it would be interesting to see what style comes out top.
If you were a fighter what would be your style and why? Bearing in mind you want to be successful and exiting to secure yourself HOF status and get talked about on boards like this for years to come!
Would you work behind a stiff jab,be a busy inside fighter, focus on movement & speed , be a toe to toe trader,Counter punch and time your opponents, Be in an and out, would you take shots to deliver your killer blow?
Inside Boxer
Outside Boxer
Swarmer
Slugger
Boxer
Boxer-Puncher
Counter Puncher
These are just some of the styles to choose from do elaborate on others if you would like to.
I have always thought if I were good enough to be a boxer and to choose my style that I would go for a swarming come forward type.
Cutting off the ring making it as small as possible for my opponent and constantly stalking them down. Some of the best at this for me would be the like of Duran & Frazier who not only could stalk you down but had great lateral movement, decent defence and the power to stop many opponents.
As mentioned it would be good to see the general consensus on the styles 606v2 would adopt were they in the ring today!

Re: 606v2:Your style?
i wouldnt be a slugger as i dont like getting hit in the face.
i'd be a counter puncher - wait for them to make a move then strike.
if it went longer than a round my fitness i would morph into a walking punch bag unable to lift my arms.

I'd be an inside boxer, if I go on the punch bag I throw the jab before getting close to let the hooks and uppercuts go. Must look like a complete muppet

I do the same Hampo let a jab go duck in and try let a few hooks go to the head and body. I feel like im doing it right but probably look a wally.

Re: 606v2:Your style?
I'd be a boxer-puncher, looking to get off first, fighting off my jab, trying to create angles. Then home in when I find a sweet spot.
Would love to have one punch concussive power like Naz though....

I'd be a scientific outside boxer-thinker a la Sweet Pea, but nowhere near as good. I'd have punch power but refuse to use it, labelling it 'crude' angering critics in the process. I'd lose lots of fights, but be happy, telling 'Adam Smith' I'd rather lose pretty than win ugly.
PS the reason I'm talking to Adam Smith is because I signed for Matchroom

Re: 606v2:Your style?
I've had 1 fight and it was in aid of a charity and had all the best intentions in the world of going into the fight and using my slick boxing skills to stay behind the jab and work some openings. However, 5 seconds into the fight that all changed and I spent the 3 rounds charging about after my opponent who was quicker and more skilled and experienced trying to wear him down and catch him with a KO punch.
In an ideal world I'd be the next SRR but my temperament makes me more a Jake LaMotta.

I reckon considering the fact I'm 6'2 and could probably make Welterweight means I'd have to play to me strength and box on the outside working behind a jab.... using my height and reach advantage as best I could.
