- Spoiler:
- Tactics & Voting
Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:
1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics/votes then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.
If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.
Media Page
Each week 5 questions are provided by reporters, everyone has the opportunity to answer these for a 1m boost to kitty.
Manager of the Month
Every month there is a poll put up for manager of the month (the previous month's winner is excluded), the winner gets to use a magic sponge on a player that is injured at any point the following month to recover that player for that week.
League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

Why yes I would thanks Nick...
Kagawa for me wants to be the main man, his body language towards Lewandowski indicates unhappiness and the quote about a main striker being selfish in itself concerns me as a striker should be just that, selfish. Kagawa isn't a striker yet his shot rate per game is higher than his assist rate, that shows he's less likely to pass to the guy in front than take an effort himself whilst players like Ozil are constantly looking to provide that crucial pass.
He also isn't a team player in that he fails to track back, his tackle and interception rate is woeful, 1.2 tackles per game on average. He shone in the Cup final but more than often he is not a big game player either, he was woeful in the champions league campaign and when things aren't going his way completely shirks out of the game.

He doesn't track back, agreed. His work rate is exceptional though. Read the link I posted above as I think that gets it spot on. He is more like a second striker than a midfielder and his work is all done pressing the defence.
And I agree that he doesn't track back, but a large part of that is to do with how Klopp chooses to use him i.e. as a support striker instead of a traditional midfielder.
I agree 100% with you that he isn't going to bring you anything tracking back, but that is not due to being selfish, that is down to how he used by Klopp. He doesn't walk around not pressing, he does the complete opposite. I think you need to compare his stats to those of other support strikers, rather than midfielders btw.

But then to play him as a second striker where does that then leave Rooney, as the main man up front?

That I think is the issue for United, not whether Kagawa is selfish.
I think you would have to play Rooney as the main striker, with Kagawa behind him. If you continue to play Rooney deeper with either Welbeck or Hernandez, then Kagawa doesn't fit into that side. He would then become "another club in the bag" in order to switch to different tactics against different teams.
Although I think Kagawa would be a good signing, I do think that there is a more pressing need for a Roy Keane type player first

They may not be allowed to attend at all if we hold it at the wangbar as is our preference. We'd have to clarify their age policies.

I don't know the exact stats, but they feel right Nick - although you should compare shots per game versus chances created per game (rather than actual assists)

Hero, with the good points you have made still none of them equal to Kagawa being selfish.
Dempsey plays AM, 17 goals, 6 assists, I wouldnt call hium selfish.

Ahhhhhhh, I FRICKING HATE the FIFA12UT web app. it gives you stupid token to bid on players, only 25 of them so if you locked in a bidding war it annoying.
I was bidding on an In Form Soldado, lost out because I ran out of tokens. He was sold for 4500, can sell him for 15,000.
Thats over 10,000 profit due to stupid web app.GRRRRR

Ah, A-levels hardly count these days... Just don't get a U!
I did appalingly on my A-levels but technically passed them all, seems like that's the barometer more than whether you got 4 A* grades.
That isn't to say don't try, but don't panic about them either...

I did Leisure Studies in A-Level. If you look up 'pointless course' in any dictionary, the definition is simply 'leisure studies'.
I got a D in it
I might as well have not turned up to the exam. By the second year of college I had mentally checked out and only really tried in one class.

It had a lot to do with sports centres and things, and there was nonsense about regulations and health and safety mixed in too. It wasn't the course I'd hoped it would be at all, I remember that much, but then all my courses were perennial disappointments because I'm a massively lazy learner.
I have an exam tomorrow morning for work, and I've still got a load of revising to do tonight!

Valencia got fans and players, player of the year. Give him the Number 7 shirt I say.
"There should be 20 of these awards because all of my team-mates deserve one." - Antonio Valencia
Sir Bobby Charlton also did a very moving, inspirational speech

"There should be 20 of these awards because all of my team-mates deserve one." - Antonio Valencia
Sir Bobby Charlton also did a very moving, inspirational speech

But where does that leave Michael Owen?
Great guy, great player. This season he's really won me over. Definitely our player of the season (and over Rooney even though he's scored near 30 goals in the league).

Don't get me wrong, I like Valencia but when I've watched him sometimes his final ball seems a bit astray.
Other than that he's a deserved winner, very direct and always hard working.

You have the magic words: "Hard working". You don't see Nani and Young working as hard as him.

direct as well, its what makes him dangerous. No fancy prancy poop like Nani. Just stright up get the job done.
