My main issue with the blue clay was whether or not it was "safe". It would seem that it was safe to play on. As long as it is safe to play on then I don't see anything wrong with it - it's still "clay".

You have different types of hard-court, so I think it is fine to have variations in the clay court.

Yeah Berdych's comments about returning next year seemed the most obvious, I think Nadals biggest issue is the speed of the court not so much the tournament itself.

Which I understand, if you are preparing for slow conditions at Paris and Rome. But they already did something about that by switching Rome and Madrid around, I'm sure he would want Barcelona to switch with Madrid as the Masters event.
