- Spoiler:
- Tactics & Voting
Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:
1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics/votes then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.
If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.
Media Page
Each week 5 questions are provided by reporters, everyone has the opportunity to answer these for a 1m boost to kitty.
Manager of the Month
Every month there is a poll put up for manager of the month (the previous month's winner is excluded), the winner gets to use a magic sponge on a player that is injured at any point the following month to recover that player for that week.
League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

I think £30m is way too much for Nani. Maybe just me but I think he is overrated and you could reinvest that money on Kagawa and others.

£30m is a lot of money but Hero tell me who are we going to replace him with, a realistic offer not one of these fantasy league signings.
Re: Homepage XIII
Opinions on my defence please...
Debuchy---Howedes---Koscielny---Mathieu
or should Caceres fit in there as a first choice somehow? or Raul Albiol?

Re: Homepage XIII
Well it would pretty much get Hazard but I presume you'd deem that a 'fantasy' signing.
Cabaye from Newcastle and Garcia from Benfica I'd use the cash on.

Re: Homepage XIII
Michael Owen won't be getting a new contract and if Berbatov goes we need to bring in a new striker.
Re: Homepage XIII
Hero, you missed part of the ani rumour out:
"Meanwhile, United have indicated they will listen to offers for Portugal winger Nani if talks on a new contract stall. The 25-year-old has 18 months left on his deal and is being offered £130,000 a week to stay but if he holds out for more, the Old Trafford club will look to sell him for £30m. "
Quite an important part too

Re: Homepage XIII
Manchester City's Carlos Tevez has said he will not apologise to Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson for the 'RIP Fergie' poster he brandished at the new champions' title parade, because Ferguson never apologises for his own comments. "It seems Ferguson is the president of England," says the Argentine.
(Various)
Defender Rio Ferdinand holds his Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson partly responsible for his omission from England's Euros squad, after the Scot questioned whether the 33-year-old defender could stand up to the rigours of an international tournament.
Full story: Daily Mirror
But Ferdinand is also convinced his omission is a result of the John Terry race row involving his brother Anton Ferdinand, and that he is a victim of the allegations against the former captain.
tevez is a douche.
If Nani did got that £30m would go on Gaitán. Hazrad is City bound.

Just thinking the same thing
Reckon he might end up somewhere like Villa... How about Everton for a long shot? He is an Everton fan after all, and he's hardly Liverpool's number 1 favourite player anyway. Be good with Jelavic.

I will have to consult my fellow Runners
(ie don't take this as gospel and then rant at me!)
But I believe it to be the case that this Monday coming will be the lawyer offers.
The following Monday will be the Star Player bids.
That week will also see the Community Shield Match and the season will start in full the week afterwards.

Re: Homepage XIII
The voices say Bayern Munich aren't overly confident for the Champions League final due to their defensive suspensions (Badstuber, Alaba, Luiz Gustavo).
Back four and midfield two could well be;
Van Buyten - only just returning to fitness
Kroos/Schweinsteiger - Neither is defensively minded and the alternative is Tymoshchuk
Contento - reported to be leaving Bayern as he's not good enough!

Marky but they have a faboulous attack it will be a close game but I think Bayern will shade it but you can't right Chelsea off it just could be thier year.
Schweinsteiger is not a dedicated DM like Makelele but he is capable of playing in that role if needs to be and he is a big game player.
Badstuber when he first came in at LB I thought yeah this lad can be a first team for club and country but now I'm not sure.

Dortmund were a better all round team this season than Bayern Munich, but while they're adding Reus to their squad, losing Kagawa and Lewandowski (as well as maybe a couple of others) would really hurt them.

Support the team, last time when the side needed them they were singing Anti Glazer songs. It's wrong and not needed at the stadium do a protest somewhere else. If they going to protest because United finished 2nd well they can Flip off.

The Glazers or any normal level owner just don't stand a chance with Mansoor bankrolling City.
Only way Utd will be able to compete over the next few years is if we too get a sugardaddy chairman onboard too.

I think the financial fair play guidelines will really help football from teams just spending hundreds of millions each year. I know people are sceptical but at least it's something making clubs think and wind it in a bit.

Viva, Glazers have take £71 out of the club in last 9 months, apparetly. Dont know where this info is coming from, im trying to find somethign concrete but its all over twitter.
one thing ive learnt it twitter is powerful. I saw Dalglish sacking on there before BBC Football or SkySports, no not a lucky guess by a person as it was all over, 5 mins later its on BBC.

Exactly and the fans need to understand that we would have to attract players by our tradition and History and what we can offer in terms of trophies City have the financial power but are also going to go for titles and it's hard for us to match that. These Arabs have so much money from Oil that they don't know what to do with it so they'll just keep spending some of them are richer then countries.

On the flip side though there's a huge amount of rubbish that gets posted on it that then spreads like wildfire and turns out to be garbage, so many people have had to suddenly make a public appearance because they've reportedly died on Twitter.

Re: Homepage XIII
You're both right in terms of Twitter sometimes you'll get the news way before the major news channels but you're also get a load of crap. It's a bit like goal.com they are not a respected organsiation so they can post as much as crap as they like and they are bound to get some right but it don't matter if they get it wrong because no one cares unlike BBC or Sky.
I'll be honest I don't understand properly how the Glazers are working and what level the debts are at and how they are repaying and what they taking out. I've heard so much diffrent things but what I would say is why protest when the club is playing support them and do your protest elsewhere. Some of these people I wouldn't call fans the things they said to the Glazers is vile.

I think the basic premise is that they bought the club against massive loans and the fans think they will drain the club of profits to firstly service the huge loans and then secondly themselves. All this while the squad is left to stagnate with no investment.
I don't know if that's true - seems like a successful period since they came it!
