Icc reducing teams for 2015 world cup

News from the ICC that they are reducing the amount of teams down to 10, Ireland miss out but somehow Zimbabwe get in, this is ridiclous.

2012 20-20 world cup having 16 teams, the ICC has messed up on both counts here

what do all you guys think about this??

Surely the point of the ICC is to promote cricket in non federation
countries, how is this supposed to help.

One of the intrest's in the world cup is seeing how the likes of
Ireland, Canada, Netherlands are progressing, and the improvements
they are making in each tournament.

Rubbish intention, stupid idea, and how not to promote cricket.

ridiculous decision, the associate members are part of what made this world cup a great succes (Ireland beating England, running Bangladesh and WI close, Canda giving Pakistan and Australia decent scares, beating Kenya). What makes Zimbabwe more worthy of competing than Ireland? Nothing, they're not even ranked higher.

How can you have a world cup without any sort of qualifying (teams not there on merit)? Not a world cup anymore!!!

Such a shame to have this announced now, after such n entertaining tournament, what a shambles!

Money talks!!! Unfortunately this is what happens when money becomes the biggest factor involved in sport.

It's such a farcical decision, utterly ridiculous. Irleand were a joy to watch in this tournament, such a revelation. How they aren't able to compete in the next one is beyond me. I am not happy with this decision at all.

The ICC have really gone too far now, have lost even the small amount of credibility that they were holding onto imo.

Ireland to fight the decision, this could go all the way to the CAS apparently.

Good for Ireland! I hope they are backed in this all the way. It's a horrible decision that shouldn't be allowe to stand.

Ireland always seem to get screwed and they have more of a right than Zimbabwe and maybe even Bangladesh imo to play test cricket, when did Bangladesh last win or draw a meaningful test series? If Ireland were a test team say 2 years ago they would have had a team now including the likes of:

Porterfield
Morgan
Joyce
N.O'Brien
Rankin
Dockrell

6 quality players there, probably missed 1 or 2 due to being drunk, but thats surely better than Bangladesh and Zimbabwe have produced together in the last 5 years or so

how long will this issue take about Ireland fighting this case ( I hope this is yet another win for them as I want them in the next World Cup as well)
