Slight tweak to the DRS?
I was following the text on BBC Sport's live commentary page, and the DRS got a brief mention when the West Indies reviewed a decision. From what I read the decision was red, red, orange, so it stayed with the on-field decision (not out).
The suggestion was that the technology reckoned it was out, but wasn't sure enough to overturn the umpire. Therefore the decision should remain not out, but the fielding team should retain their review. I think it's a decent suggestion and has a lot of merit.
What does everybody else think?

Would work well with lbws. The flaw in that is that for caught behinds, where there is no 'traffic light' system you would need to decide what is a call not overturned because of doubt or one where it is proven.

Re: Slight tweak to the DRS?
I suppose the third umpire could say:
Decision over-turned (keep review, decision reversed)
Not enough evidence to over-turn the decision (keep review, decision sticks)
Decision upheld (lose review, decision sticks)
When it's black or white it's fine, but if the third umpire can't be sure so is just sticking with the on-field umpire, it seems harsh that the reviewing team lose a review.

Re: Slight tweak to the DRS?
I like your system , robbo.
Actually suggested something similar a few months back re lbw calls , but your idea to extend to catches via the third umpire judgement seems a further improvement.
The only reservation I have is that such a change might encourage fielding captains to embark on even more "fishing expeditions" , especially against top batsmen , and cause a few unnecessary delays.
Probably still a good change on balance.

Re: Slight tweak to the DRS?
If we found there was more "fishing", then reviews could be cut to 1. That way, 1 howler of a review and you're done, so you have to be more careful.
I think it's worth a trial at least.

Never have fully understood the DRS system and I have preferred when test cricket was played when it wasn't used in the past.

Re: Slight tweak to the DRS?
i think we should just accept drs as 'fact'* and not bother with the umpires decsion on reviews- and all reviews should be kept as long as the review is correct
