Wales-------------Leinster===Who is the best???

This is not a thread to talk down Wales, or to talk up Leinster.

Wales this year won a Grand Slam, they was crowned the KINGS oF THE NH.
Cannot argue with at all. they was the only team to win ALL their games. And so deserved to be called KINGS of the NH.

Leinster won the Heineken Cup and get crownd the KINGS of Europe.

My question is who is the Best out of Wales and Lenister. because surely their can only be one KING OF EITHER THE NH. OR EUROPE.

Discuss.

Jeez, it seems there are still some bitter Irish on here (geoff) because they can't handle Ospreys being the better Rabo team this season. Well how about this, one Grand Slam in 60 odd years compared to three in 7 years?

Geoff, your argument implies that Manchester United are clearly better than Man City at the moment. I am talking about today, the here and now, not last week, not last year and not a decade ago. I am happy to differ but as I see it at the moment Leinster are ceratinly not CLEARLY way ahead of the Ospreys. Like I said I'm happy to differ. They may be slightly better which is up for debate after yesterdays AWAY win but they are certainly not way ahead as you imply.

Fly - Bitter is the right choice of ale for you guys at the moment

When Leinster fans defend themselves, they are bitter, despite the fact they are provoked by some ungracious welsh fans, from the very second the Ospreys won. Unfortunately showing a complete lack of grace seems to be the right choice for you guys..

Not an acurrate analogy.

Leinster have had a better season than Ospreys this year.
Man City have had a better season than Man Utd this year.

You cannot base a judgement between 2 teams on the last result between them otherwise it becomes meaningless.
Otherwise you would have to say Ulster went from being worse than Treviso to better than Clermont or went from being better than Leicester to worse than Dragons.

Ospreys had a better preperation than Leinster (a rest as opposed to a HC final) and it was, imv crucial in swinging the balance.

I will go further and say I haven't seen this from any other fans on these forums, apart from a few low post WUMs. Most fans are happy with their win and accept that, congratulate the other team etc. On here, the welsh win and then a good few start pointing out how much better they are than everyone else, put the other team down, gloat etc. Which is just poor.

The threads you have seen about Leinster hype and about who is the best, haven't even been starting by the Leinster regs on here.

I'm enjoying myself Rory . Nobody likes to loose... but loosing to a dangerous side like Ospreys after the intense season we've just had, isn't all that bad a conclusion. Some of the Osprey lads gloat and I feed them the nuts to keep them thirsty. Have to as I'm trying to sell them back some of the bitter they gave me for free!!!

Rory, you need to accept some fans are more "out the box" than other.

With this one I'm pretty sure you've just read one of my comments from last night but changed the words around.

EireBilly just calls it as it is - His posts are balanced and yet he is a passionate rugby man - My only isue here is that Leinster are CLEARLY a better side that the O's at the moment. CLEARLY implies some distance, if some fans see it that way then I'm not here to persuade them otherwise.

As for the fatigue thing, like the wily Irish salesman in Grafton Street he will suggest on one hand that the losers are fatigued, if they had won however, then the O's would be saying that Leinster were match sharper due to recent games. I actually don't buy either of them but they are convenient in defeat and help the soul to rest a little easier. I believe we refer to it as cognitive dissonance in the trade. A few pints of dissonance for the LadyBoys and their fans please

You look on this thread to Tycroes comments immediately after the Ospreys won, and then go back to the game thread and see the comments made by some of the welsh fans again. Total lack of grace. Can you remember Leinster being like that after their wins? I certainly can't.

Then they get told they are unsporting and ungracious by the Irish whilst they are in the middle of blaming the ref. And all through the year the Irish tell the Welsh they always blame the ref! Some people feel Poite was a complete failure at the scrums, and that Jones got away with a lot, which is true unfortunately. They still congratulate Ospreys for the win, and the Ospreys did play great rugby.

No idea where the welsh have had to defend themselves.. also, those sorts of immature comments are exactly what makes you guys look like terrible winners.

Isn't cognitive dissonance what the regions suffered when, after the WC, their season was going beautifully until some of them had to play those terrible bad men from Antipod land in a friendly? Some of the Welsh lads played and suffered cognitive dissonance when they returned to their regions, which is understandable, ...but curiously, so did players who hadn't played against Antipod. Which can only mean that cognitive dissonance is contagious.

Ah, I think it's a case of you analysing the thread with that red fist over the one eye again. So no point in my trying to argue the point. Leinster are by far the best European teams and probably the best to lift the trophy. My gripe was an Irishman coming out and saying Leinster are "by far the better Pro 12 team". I didn't know you could lose to the finalists therefore the eventual winners three times in a season and still be better than them in the league.

Wales easily, the core of the Ospreys pack is too good for Leinster as has been proven 3 times this season, throw in the clinical Wales backline and they'd hammer Leinster off the park.

I've followed rugby for nearly 60 years - Cardiff since the days of Cliff Morgan, who married an Irish girl and played the 1955-56 season in Ireland for Bective Rangers.

When you say "they" still congratulate the Ospreys for the win, if you're talking about the Leinster players, as opposed to some fans, you're absolutely right. Thankfully, even in professional rugby with money at stake the players still shake hands after the game, whatever has happened during it.

I watched yesterday's match on S4C. The commentary was in Welsh, which I don't understand, so I needed the subtitles. But I didn't need subtitles to understand the booing from some Leinster fans after the Ospreys had won.

Neither booing nor cheering makes any difference after the game, yet I've still heard plenty of booing after games lost by Wales and Welsh clubs. On the other hand, some fans wouldn't dream of booing when the other side wins. It's the same everywhere and has nothing to with fans' nationality.
