It seems the decision was made with the full consent of the players, a slippery cold court could lead to injuries. Considering the French Open begins in a weeks time, I don't think it was a risk either Nadal or Djokovic would wish to take.

San Francisco has awful weather Haddie I live in southern california much warmer. To this day one of the coldest days I have ever experienced was a late may day in germany I wanted to shoot myself.
