Announcements
Star Player bids to be PM'd to Hero by 11pm on Wednesday evening. Star player cap is any player up to the value of £35m but you can bid more if you wish. You can only bid on one player at a time.
Everyone in League A (who votes on League B) send their results to Hero.
Everyone in League B (who votes on League A) send their results to TSC
To Qualify for the £2M Bonus, teams need to post their tactics by Midnight on Wednesday and PM their results by Midnight on Friday
NEW RULES!!!!
- Spoiler:
- Tactics & Voting
Tactics and voting are to be in promptly on the dates required.
If these deadlines are not met then the following happens:
1. The offending party receives a -1 goal to their score immediately.
2. If after 24 hours they have failed to still hand in tactics/votes then they receive a default loss for that week.
3. If this happens on a regular basis the manager shall be removed from their position.
If there is a valid reason as to why you cannot provide tactics or votes on time then this must be informed to the league runner as soon as possible.
Media Page
Each week 5 questions are provided by reporters, everyone has the opportunity to answer these for a 1m boost to kitty.
Manager of the Month
Every month there is a poll put up for manager of the month (the previous month's winner is excluded), the winner gets to use a magic sponge on a player that is injured at any point the following month to recover that player for that week.
League Breakdown and Rules
- Spoiler:
- Welcome to the 606v2 Euro Division
Where this will be different to the existing leagues is that the sides involved are entirely made up.
You don't inherit a pre-made European side.
Instead you make your own.
You would initially start with £150m with which to buy a MINIMUM of 15 players and a MAXIMUM of 23 players.
The prices for these players are determined entirely through the transfermarkt website.
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/
But here's where it gets interesting...the prices that are used on transfermarkt are the minimum you can bid, because other people in the league may also want the same person, so do you risk bidding the flat fee or do you bid more (increased bids have to be a minimum £500k more), the other point of note at this stage is that the maximum value player you can bid on is £15m (though you can choose to bid more than the £15m to get the player)
You then get an ADDITIONAL £50m with which to purchase upto 2 STAR players (min 1), though the maximum you can spend on 1 player is £35m.
This will then result in you having a team of a minimum of 16 players and maximum of 25 players.
You then have to name the team, give it a location where they play their home games and send this via PM to myself and Sodhat before the cut off point (to be decided).
Results of who got which player will then be announced and for those that lost out on players due to being outbid, a second chance is available to acquire players before the league starts, and third etc if needed.
Number of leagues is dependent upon how many players participate.
Foreign transfers.
As the only deciding factor for selling a player is cash then there shouldn't be wrangles over if a TP is accepted or not, if you have the cash you can buy!
TPs though will only go through once a week on a Sunday night for the week ahead.
Max transfer value for bringing in a player from foreign transfers is £15m in Season 1.
You can only make 2 foreign transfers per week.
Domestic transfers
Players can move only twice between domestic clubs per season, once they have moved twice you will have to wait until the following season to sell to another domestic club.
They can though be released or sold to an outside club.
For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Transfers between 2 domestic clubs must be within 20% of each other in total monetary value. So for example if Team A wish to buy a player from Team B worth £10m then they must offer between £8-£12m in player/cash value.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat the usual bombardment of silly offers that litter the new managers page.
Injuries
Injuries shall be announced once per week on a Sunday night, they shall consist of 2 players, one based from the team picked for the previous weeks game and one from the entire squad.
Tactics
Each week you shall play 1 game, either league or cup (no more than one game per week though), tactics for this game shall consist of a team sheet, injuries for your team, if your team is home or away and a maximum of 15 bullet point lines worth of team instructions.
As well as the tactical instructions you are allowed 2 extra lines of a team talk to motivate your players, show your worth not just for tactics but how you build players up for the game!
Cash
Each week you receive 2m for a win, 1m for a draw, zilch for a loss.
You also receive an extra £2m per week for ensuring your tactics are handed in on time and you've voted on the results.
Each week there shall be a £1m cash bonus to the team voted best tactics.
Hopefully this is enough to entice to sign up! If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I look forward to seeing your team sheets!

2nd? Bit optimistic surely.

So its two transfer per week yes. So if someone signs 2 from old lawyers then they cant sign a star player can they?
It is two per week Nick for TP's.
Star player doesn't affect it, you can sign a star player as well as your 2 TP's
That is what I presume
Can this be cleared up please.

Re: Homepage XIV
I just had to pop on and apologize for James.
He has had a tough time lately.
A family friend had a car crash about a fortnight ago, at present we have heard no further news but last we heard things were not looking good.
Sunday night a close friend had a car crash also, leaving him in a critical condition in hospital. So James has been Travelling to Cambridge for the last few days to visit as they do not know how much longer he has.
This time last year his dad also walked out on the family and he hasn't heard from him since then.
Prehaps this will explain why james has not been on the site as reguarlly as some of you feel he should be.

Cup Votes and Reasons
FC Bournemouth 2-1 Bilbao Baggins
Goal Scorers: FCB: Hernanes,Costa , BB: Kroos
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins vs FC United of Bournemouth
Score : - Neymar 1 – 2 Dost, Cisse
Neymar gets a very early goal with a direct pass right through the centre of Bilbao’s defence from Fernadinho. Neymar latches on and slips it past De Gea.
Bilbao Baggins become more disciplined at the back and quell the treat of Neymar. From this point Bilbao boss the midfield but create few chances against FC United’s well-organised defence.
Bilbao’s first goal comes late in the first half with a floated cross from Gotze onto Dosts head. Their second goal comes from a wonder strike from 35 yards by Cisse in the dying minutes. The goalkeeper is caught off guard, which costs the team a goal and the game.
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins 1-3 FC United of Bournemouth.....
Ayew-----------------------------------Hernanes
-----------------------------------Neymarx2
What are Athletico playing at drastic change from before and this did not work at all the DM sitting infront of the defenders and leaving the gap between the attack which left them vunerable. They would have been better of sticking to what they know and would have most likely got the win. Cherries boys showed a massive improvement and the players rised to the occasion with a bit of help from the odd selection by Hero. The score could have been higher.
-----
Both sides very strong, Cherries planning for Gotze down the middle and Hero catches him out with Gotze on the wing and Kroos down the middle who is too good to be left alone as the AM, and it's the difference.
Result:
Athletic Bilbao Baggins 3-2 FC United of Bournemouth
(Kroos, Dost, Cisse) (Neymar x2)
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins 1 vs 0 FC United of Bournemouth
Cisse
I think Baggins had the right tactics to deal with Neymar, and FC simply do not have anything else to offer when their main threat has been taken out of the game. With their wingers going inside, it plays to Baggins strengths with two strong CDM blocking their paths. If FC looked to get crosses in to a target man then I think they would have won, simply because Baggins 3 defenders would have been stretched.
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins 0-4 FC United of Blar Blar Blar
N/A - Neymar x 3, Costa
Even though FC United of Bournemouth set up was taylored to seeing a different Baggins side they were confertable in their win. With FC United's wingers instrudcted to come inside and attack the CB's Baggins struggled. Subotic was overwelmed, Abate and Cole are not Cb's and cant defend like one. With Cambiasso & Motta sat infront and helping Subotic, Hernanes had dropped deeper to control the game which he did supurbly. Cazorla & Gotze tried their best to get Cisse & Dost in the game but with so much pressure on Baggins defence attacks were few and far apart. Neymar enjoyed playing against one CB and won Man of The Match.
-----
Bilbao 2-4 Bournemouth
Gotze 26 ----- Maicon 10
Cisse 57 ------Neymar 35, 69
-------------- Costa 84
A thrilling game, but playing the system Hero played killed his chances of winning. Abate and Cole both get forward and if they are going to be narrow then the wingers have a ridiculous amount of room with Costa and Dudu having loads of space. Hernanes getting slightly deeper worked well and Hero's bravery playing attacking meant they got a reward, but it wasn't enough.
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins 2 vs 1 FC United of Bournemouth and boscombe wanderers’ athletic football clubs
Scorers: Hernanes
Dost, Cisse
Feedback: Baggins have gone for a bold formation here, and ultimately it works as they will be winners in this game. FC United have improved vastly over the season but they just can't go the extra mile in this game. Win for Baggins, but watch out for FC United next season. Could be a dark horse!
-----
Cherrys team 2 v 3 Atletico Baggins AET
Neymar X2 , Cissie X2 , Gotze
VERY GOOD GAME BOTH SIDES MATCH EACH OTHER WELL BUT WHILE CISSE SCORES WHAT LOOKS TO BE THE WINNER NEYMAR SCORES TO MAKE IT EVEN IN THE END GOTZE SCORES IN THE DIEING MOMENTS IN EXTRA TIME.
-----
Bilbao Baggins 5-0 FC United of Hesslelink
Far too much strength on the wings and a lethal strike force for Cherry's CB's to handle.
-----
Athletico Bilbao Baggins 2 (Cisse, Cazorla)
FC United of Bournemouth and boscombe wanderers’ athletic football clubs 1 (Neymar)
2 sets of tactics that are very good possibly the best cherries have done so far, how ever I felt they were too long. This in turn has forced my hand on marking him down a bit. If he can do similar quality tactics next season but in a shorter format he will be a big threat.
