Samsung Galaxy S3

I've been reading about the new Galaxy since the rumours around mid April, I've pre ordered the phone from Three hopefully getting it on release day on the 30th of this month.

4.8 inch screen, eye recognisition and many other cool stuff. Who else has pre ordered the phone or thinking of getting it? What do you lot make of the phone cons and pros?

Hate the fact that this is coming out. Got an S2 and, as with any update, a part of me has died with the news that there'll be a better, fresher phone on the market!

I've pre-ordered. Finally making the switch from an iPhone. Fancied a change and it looks such a cool phone.

I was so close getting the S2 or Iphone 4s but luckily I waited for the S3 give it 6 months a better phone will replace the S3 in the market. It's not just phones but most gadgets they only have a limited time as the number product.

Fury where did you pre order yours from? I got mine from Three 2000 minutes, 5000 minutes to Three, 5000 texts and unlimited data. I know for a fact that I won't get anywhere near that but it was the unlimited data that got me I can tether it to my other wi-fi gadgets.

Oh an I got it in pebble blue.

O2, and I also ordered it in pebble blue. Unlimited texts, can't remember how many minutes, and 1gb of data. It isn't cheap, but looking forward to receiving it.

I don't know if you've heard but they have had problems with Pebble Blue but it was not supposed to affect the U.K.

So I Tweeted to Three today regarding the pre order and I got this off them, "Unfortunately following Samsung's recent announcement, the Pebble Blue Samsung SIII will not be available when expected".

I suggest you phone 02 if they will get the phone to you on 30th because Vodaphone have delayed the Pebble Blue by 2-4 weeks.

I think I might just cancel my contract, I'm so mad I was looking forward to this phone since April and couldn't wait to get it and now they've done this.

I had a text yesterday, they're delivering mine today. Not too bad a delay.

Does anyone remember when having the smallest phone possible was like a status symbol? It was a bit self-defeating really because the tiny buttons made it much harder to get a good high score on Snake, which was of course the real measure of a man.

Regarding this Samsung one you're talking about, I'm not sure I could get on with a phone that big, no matter what it can do.

Awesome phone, and already getting used to the size. Brilliant for internet, games and videos which is what I generally use my phone for anyway!

Ha, Il_gia, my snake score was something similar, around 2,500 - it was more of an anaconda!! Timeless game.

If it's any think as good as the S2 then it should be an awesome phone.

The only flaw I have with the S2 is that the battery life doesn't last very long so lets hope the S3 has a better battery life then the S2.

I have had the S2 now for about 2-3 months does anyone know when I can get an upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S3?

The phone is better then the S2, unlike other phones you can tell that Samsung put thought and effort into really improving the phone rather then slightly making it fast.

The battery life is not so good, I have to charge it every night but I do have my Internet on all day and apps running, it has a bigger screen which takes up a lot of juice.

Overall I'm happy with the phone and think its fantastic it has everything I need and couldn't go back to a smaller screen. So much you can do on the phone it's flexible and allowed to personalise the phone to fit your style.

I don't know if you can get an upgrade when you've had the S2 for for a couple of months.

Ah right thanks for the info Viva, May be I have to have the phone for about 6 months or so we will have to wait and see.

Hope that battery backup should be strong in s3. It should not be like s2.
