The Dew Drop Inn ERC 2012 Commemorative Pub, Dublin
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The Pub has followed the victorious Leinster team home after last week's Heineken Cup final for a liver-busting celebration.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of the late Simon "Human Windmill" Pitney or those of all the HEC and Amlin Cup finalists.

No I know Rodders. I didn't mean to come over highbrow but I just got a chance to read back and that was noticeable.
Hopefully Billy will see the light side when he gets to read back himself.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn ERC 2012 Commemorative Pub, Dublin
I am at the hospital now. Its not as bad as first thought. He has several broken bones, mainly his ribs arms and legs. He has a head like a bowl of mashed potatoe but i have been told that he was swearing like an old sailor which is a good sign. He will have several operations over the next few weeks but should make a full recovery.
What happened was that the helicopter he was in took off from Den Helder, got about 15 meters in the air before the rotor ceased and sent the helicopting spinning ditching back to the tarmac.
I dont have any links because i have not looked.

MM it is really impressive that you took the time to set up an account here and report the accident. Nos.nl are still not reporting anything regarding a helicopter accident. Its even more impressive that you have taken the time to let people know how he is doing at the moment.

Luckless of course he isn't.
It is impressive for someone to do that. I doubt my brother would think to do it.

I couldn't believe the news when Stag text me to let me know this morning (thanks to both you and Swanny for making me aware, and then Stag again for keeping me updated).
I've felt sick with worry since I heard so Billy Gwella'n gyflum fy ffrind*. Thoughts are with you and your family right now. I hope when you finally manage to read all the messages on here you realise just in how high a regard we all hold you.
* this means 'get well soon my friend'. It is not more made up words. Honest.

I can't believe Dreamer doesn't like butterflies. I can just about understand her not liking catterpillars, although I quite like them, but butterflies? What's not to like about them?
Then again, if I'd been given acid-spiked shampoo when I was younger, I might be scared of them too.
They are flying caterpillars. That means they are just as ychafi as the slow disgusting moving caterpillar, except they can move at a much greater speed and generally have the horrible habit of flying right at my head. I hope that answers your question
Having said that Caterpie was always one of my favourite pokemon on the gameboy game. Evolved into a Butterfree (the Metapod phase was rubbish). And yes, I was a bit of a pokemon geek growing up, I've absolutely no qualms with admitting that....

Nah Rodders stock up. The recession is over. We basically implemented a "shoot on sight" for anyone using sterling.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn ERC 2012 Commemorative Pub, Dublin
Hi regs. Just contacted Billy's sis. He is in hospital in Groningen. Is being operated on now. He will be ok they say. Lots of broken bones and cuts but his head is ok. Thats what I was worried about most.
Still in shock. Billy and I got close offline. Its ridiculous we have never met as we only live 40 km from each other and the 1st time I will actually see him is in hospital. I just thank God that I will be able to see him. I will keep ye posted.
Positive Pub vibes and prayers for our Billy.

Gibbo tell him get up off his arse. We have lost Wallace and Leamy. A mad Clareman is just who Munster need in the backrow. Tell him he is expected for preseason on Monday morning.

Yah Stag, no more bloody Irish! We'll have to shift the quotas. Great idea on the Tigers Pub. Its where we all met up (in real life) in the 1st place. I'll have to check back and we could repost the old 606 opening for a laugh.
Portnoy may help shift the quotas.
I miss him too - the mad old Tigers coot. He's a lovely guy in real life, but can be a cantankerous aul bollix on here sometimes (says the kettle about the pot) Thing is, we need that on here.

Discussion: Do Ireland need to ditch the Puma jerseys. We were doing fine until they came along.
