The Dew Drop Inn ERC 2012 Commemorative Pub, Dublin
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The Pub has followed the victorious Leinster team home after last week's Heineken Cup final for a liver-busting celebration.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of the late Simon "Human Windmill" Pitney or those of all the HEC and Amlin Cup finalists.

Definitely 'the bridge' it is.
I remember I went to my grads ball with a lass from Sixmilebridge. Hope it wasnt a relation of Eirbilly's. (Population 1500 means it probably was)

Latest from Billy's sis Lil:
"Alec is through his op without complications, There is some swelling in the brain, but they think there is no damage. They want to keep him sedated tonight because he will be in a lot of pain."
Believe!

Oh god no. We're very tribal. All Clare people are related. And all Tipperary people. And all Cork people (obviously). And all Kerry people etc. But you would never have a Clareman and a Limerickman related.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn ERC 2012 Commemorative Pub, Dublin
Ah Limerickmen, Kerrymen and Claremen are cool. Its them Carwk feckers with a bag of chips on each shoulder I cant handle. Keeps them balanced I spose.

Hi all. Connection/login problems for me today (cheers kiwi ) .
I managed to get a post in on billy's thread earlier before my connection went again.
That news really shocked me this morning. I am so pleased to hear that he is already on the road to recovery
Enjoy your trip to Cardiff Cymro
I'll be watching that game in Ealing. And back there on Sunday for the T14 semis on ESPN.

Don't worry Prop
The Amlin draw will probably be on the same date or around that time. It's hard to tell because the ERC don't like to talk about it. It's like a dirty family secret.

I wasn't going to log on today, as this site does my swede in most days, with the way most threads are going. Thanks to Gibson for the text, or I probably wouldn't have known. I don't know Billy as well as most of you, but even those of you I don't know, I'd hate to hear terrible news like this about any of you. Really glad he's got out of the helicopter in the first instance and that he has made good progress through today.
Not much point writing anything else on here. Massive shock.

Hi All.
Thanks to MrsP for the text message earlier otherwise I'd never have heard about Billy. having just skim-read the thread, it seems to be positive news which is good to see. It's nice to know that people are looking out for each other off-line too.

Evening all
Great to hear that the initial news with Billy is positive. Strange how you can feel so gutted when you hear bad news about someone you've never actually met, yet that was how I felt when I read the initial news this morning. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that a full recovery is made and he's back with us soon to keep the rest of the Irish rabble on here in check!
Seems almost wrong to say this, but I have had an absolutely lovely afternoon at Hattie's Jubilee picnic at her school. Was great to have the opportunity to see what they do during a school afternoon and to get involved as well. Just waiting for the jacket potatoes to cook for mine and the wifes dinner now, whilst sipping a nice cold .
Hope everyone else in here is well, and although i don't post as regularly as many, or as much as I used to, I still think yous lot are ace!

I had no idea Harrow. I can't log onto the net at work and because the FB pub is private, it doesn't come up on my phone app (I have to log on to the net to see that too). I got the text when I left work this afternoon. Anyway, he's on the mend by the sounds and that's the main thing. I don't think my knowing sooner would've made much difference to that, but I appreciated MrsP's thoughtful message.

Evening pub
Cari, I did think of texting you as I know you can't get on here during the day but then I realised I don't have your mobile number . I wondered if you'd see Staggy's post in the FA pub on your mobile. Very glad MrsP was able to let you know.
Billy has an awful lot of people rooting for him .

Hope the little ones enjoyed their party Oz. We had loads of nice food in work today including some amazing homemade cakes. I only wish I could've brought some home with me. It was a "dress down day" too and everyone wore something red/white/blue which made the place look different. A few people were wandering about wearing tiaras too. I'm not that posh myself

Hughie man, I give even less of a feic about the Irish squad today- also hoping billy recovers quickly enough to enjoy the test series! Hopefully they'll give him something for the pain- as much for the hiding the All Blacks will inflict as any injuries...
It's been a worrying day. I didn't know what was going to happen, so this seems as good news as we could have hoped for.

Just got back in from work and read the news about Billy, fortunately I read his brothers second post first so I was spared the trauma of not knowing how bad he was.
It's looking pretty good for a full recovery.
Billy and Glas are usually on here at daft o'clock and are quite often the first people I "speak" to each day.
How classy is his brother by-the-way? It clearly runs in the family.
C'mon Billy, dig deep and get well soon.

Watching Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors in the RL. Wigan have a young Welsh lad on the Interchange (bench) called Rhodri Lloyd who used to be a Union lad supposedly.
Anyway, going to dip out of this site for a bit. Getting a bit annoyed by a certain obvious spoof account being allowed to stand and the quality of the posting nowadays. I'm generally a busy lad anyway, so appreciate when I get spare time being able to talk about Welsh Rugby without encountering some of the idiots on here. I am aware I could block people, but I don't have the internet connection when I'm away from my home to do that (less than 3G all the time).
I'd appreciate it if a few of the Eirebilly updates made their way onto the Dewdrop please. See you when I see you.

One of my mates from Uni put a post up about that League lad. I think he's an alumni of Lucky's Alma Mater, Cwm Rhymni.

Gibbo -
ah aces! I reckon I've just sorted myself out volunteering at Folly Farm for some weekends over the summer (or at least I've set the ball rolling on it anyways!)
One of my best mates back home is the carnivore zoo keeper there
http://www.folly-farm.co.uk/
They've got much more amazing animals there now then when I was little! Then the most exotic thing was a goat...
