Is anyone watching the live final on BBC One at the moment? Those Russian grannies sounded bloody awful - that probably means they'll win! So far, I'd say Iceland have a good chance of winning, their entry looked like your typical Eurovision winning fare - big production, ballady type of thing.

Anyway, feel free to comment here Cyprus are on now - is that a man in drag?

It was both painful and scary!

About the only good thing about this year's final is that we avoided the dreaded null points. My favourite act was Hungary but they didn't do much better than us.

The blatant politicking and backscratching voting was as bad as ever. Even without that though I couldn't complain at us coming 25th. At best we deserved 24th ahead of Albania and those bloody stupid Russian grannies. Why do people find that kind of crap amusing/entertaining? WHY???

Dyre - there's been a call for Britain to boycot Eurovision altogether. I think that would definitely send the organisers a strong message, being as Britain is one of the "Big Five" (i.e. they automatically qualify).
