4. Dan Tuohy (Ballymena/Ulster)
5. Donnacha Ryan (Shannon/Munster)
6. John Muldoon (Galwegians/Connacht)
7. Chris Henry (Ballymena/Ulster)
8. Peter O'Mahony (Cork Constitution/Munster)
Replacements:
16. Rory Best (Banbridge/Ulster)
17. Ronan Loughney (Galwegians/Connacht)*
18. Donncha O'Callaghan (Cork Constitution/Munster)
19. James Coughlan (Dolphin/Munster)*
20. Paul Marshall (Belfast Harlequins/Ulster)*
21. Nevin Spence (Ballynahinch/Ulster)*

It's also worth noting that no Leinster players were considered for this game due to having played in the RaboDirect PRO12 final on Sunday.

19-14. 5 tries in 40 minutes. Both sides trying to run the ball from everywhere. Why would anyone want to watch that?

Re: Ireland Team vs Barbarians
Ping pong in the middle of the pitch as ball bounces back off BaaBaas head and they pick up to run back to our line. Gilroy holds Balshaw up short.
Sounds like Gilroy doing well in defence as well as attack...also did we win a penalty in the scrum on their put in
Bit of a lull here as a few players treated. Scrum to Baabaas in Ireland 22 results in penalty which we run back hard through Murray.

Paddy Wallace gets the turnover- would have have expected to see O'Mahony or Henry coming up with the ball but we'll take what we get!

Nope rather bizarrely - sounds a great game as well 5 tries in 40 minutes and all attacking rugby.

Sounds like young Gilroy is going well with 1 try and 1 assist .

19-14.
BaaBaas tries from Balshaw, Sackey and Van Zyl. Ireland from Earls and Gilroy. Two conversions each from ROG and Contepomi.
Gilroys name seems to be cropping up a lot; as well as his try, he made the break and offload to set up the Earls score and managed to hold up the ball over the line when Balshaw was nearly in.

Maybe a typo; Matchday Live has an unchanged starting XV.

O'Mahony and Gilroy seem to be getting a lot of mentions.. so has Gilroy definitely got no chance of touring NZ?

Re: Ireland Team vs Barbarians
Hang on Notch, why the flip do we need 3 scrum halves for a 3 game tour?
We've only one full back and if Earls is full back cover then surely theres room for another 3/4?
No I like them both Rory. Zebo has something extra in attack but Gilroy has hit a rich vein of form. I'd like to see Gilroy get a chance as well.

Hmm I can't agree with you that Zebo offers something extra in attack. I haven't seen it myself. He has more pace though.

Re: Ireland Team vs Barbarians
Hey don't ask me, I'm not the guy making these calls!
Ideally you'd have three 9s, 10s and 2s. And an extra prop. But given the IRFU have decided to only bring two hookers and outhalves it's odd they want an extra 9 over another specialist 15.
But they've said that slot was being held for Isaac Boss and will be a scrum-half, I'm not speculating.

Thats why he has something extra... he has more pace
Gilroy finished the season stronger I think and has a better workrate and defence as well.
2nd half coming up!

Zebo hits back in the contest to be crowned most exciting young winger with a third Ireland try. Ireland back in the lead again.

Box kick from Murray gathered by Sherry from a Gilroy tap back. Ireland swing it wide to the wing and recycle. Great pressure and Cave nearly puts Wallace through but ball just spills.

Garces penalises us at the ruck again. We make that 10 against us so far. Contepomi finds touch close to our line.
discipline problem?
