What win would you take
What win should Irland take against NZ
If we shipped 100+ in the first two games and then got a lucky 1 pt win with the help of the ref and it was a second string team would you take it.
I think I would but I will be upset if we lose by more then twenty unless we shipp loads in the last ten mins. (though I think I will be upset)

Whatever we can get. I expect us to lose all three tests quite badly. Winning 1 would be amazing.

I'd take 3 - 0 via a penalty from an incorrect ruling on a tip tackle if it means beating the AB's for the 1st time.......

I'd settle for winning the toss if I was you guys and even in that comp I think the first test is your best chance as POC has a 2 headed coin

Any win, I would take a win at any cost. A win is a win. You will be up against it down there though and I do not envy you at all. Even if it is a different ball that should not be used and you take a quick line out with it and your scrum half scores in the corner and the linesman is to stupid to know what has just happened. I especially like those type of wins.

I'd also settle for winning the toss but I think we've paid a few Aussie ball boys off so might be in with a chance - Poite is reffing the first test so we have a chance in the scrums at least

With Kidney in charge I can't see us winning the toss either.... the players are much better tossers when they play for their provinces......

Re: What win should Irland take against NZ
I would take any win but I feel that I would feel it a hollow victory and that it would be belittled.
I accually think we could win the first game but everything would have to click like the Aus game. We will lose the second for sure. The third if we get schooled in the first two they might but out a weak team and hopefully DK will have worked out how to beat them. Also think our third game team might have more second choice so possibly a better team

They shouldn't. And won't. At least I hope so.

I wouldn't 'take' any win.. I'd like to earn one though. And there's one there in three games. One earned one.

I reckon you'd cherish any hollow win Secret. You'd just find a way to justify it so that it wouldn't seem hollow.
That's not a crack at you by the way - that's what we all do.
I'm taking the world cup win and not giving it back.

I agree with nganboy. Looking back you remember you won, not that you were lucky. Apart from the obvious, that a win would break the duck and be great for Irish rugby, NZ is hard to win a game in.
I can remember every loss we've had at home in the professional era. There's only 8 of them since the 95 world cup. A loss to the Boks and Wallabies in 98 (a horrible year for the AB's). Losses to Australia in 2000 and 2001. There was the loss to England in 2002, Followed by losses to the boks in 2008 and 2009 and the touring French side in 2008. many of these games were against weakened AB's sides, etc. No one remembers it. A wins a win.
To win here is a big deal. I'd say savour it. If you can win a series, dine out on it for at least a decade.

Geez when you put it like that 8 in 17 years is kinda good when you think about it.
Less than one loss every two years on average...

Irelamd shou;d take any win they can get. Even if it is only by 1 point.
That alone will atleast give Ireland some bragging rights. (FOR NOW ANY WAY.)
