Sounds Flip up, I've dealt with a few helicopter crash patients who have all survived so fingers crossed.

Jesus, I'm shocked, wasn't online yesterday so complete news to me. The second update sounds pretty promising and I would like to thank Meaningful Munster for keeping us posted.


Billy, great poster/great guy. Knowledgable on most topics, well respected and very respectful. Get well soon big fella, need you here to calm those big storms that occur on the Irish threads (I hear Tuohy is too small to be an international). Thoughts are with your family and friends. There will be pints galore for you on your return. Keep in mind that's the nicest thing I have ever said to a Clareman, it shows how well you're liked!

I have received a message from Eirebilly's girlfriend.

Just want to say a big thank you to the guys who keep updating us! Firstly to eirebilly's family who are clearly just as awesome as he is, and to Gibson/rodders/Rava for passing on all the updates for us to see on here. Really happy to be amongst some great people on these forums. The support for billy has just been fantastic.

Hadn't been here for a couple of days, so only just seen this.

Glad to see billy is making a good recovery. Best wishes to all involved.

Good to hear he's talking and on the mend, don't let him forget he's got a plane to catch!

Just wanted to pass on my very best wishes to Billy if any family members are reading this. I only heard about it this morning from Rodders and I was shocked.

Had many a chin wag with Billy on the intricacies of rugby and other things besides. Really nice man..with that lovely life trick some people have of realising the world ain't such a serious place if you take it with the right attitude. It got serious for him now for a while but I do wish him a complete recovery.

Alec has read all your messages and was very touched by them all. He wanted you to know that he appreciates it. I am sure he will reply when he is on the mend.

LB and billy used to go for an annual drink at the Bridge every year to reminisce about the Irish win over the baby boks in 2012.

This went on for years until eventually billy got too old to fly to OZ for the occassion (apart from his memory going as he couldn't remember why they did it in the first place), anyhow, LB decdied to continue the annual visit to the Bridge, and every time he went there he would order two drinks.

So the barman wanted to know why he ordered two drinks if he was alone?

So LB explained to the barman, one was for himself and one was for his mate billy.

This went on for a number of years until eventually LB only ordered one drink. So curious the barman asked him why he is only ordering one drink?

So LB's answer was "my doctor told me I have to stop drinking, so I will only have billy's drink then"
