but henderson, drowning and carroll were?

with a week to go to the tournament, today is the first day ive sat and thought, wtf, we have no chance!

Henderson, Downing and Carroll must have some pictures of Roy in an uncompromising situation.

Ferdinand because of his poor form & fitness, Scholes retired from international football after Euro 2004, Richards being left out is a head scratcher when you consider we're only taking one right back, Crouch has a good record but hasn't done much lately so Carroll is probably the right choice.

im sorry, im not one to put someone down, but ferdinand has not had a poor season. the ridiculous reason given was that he could not play a game every 4 days, but why would he have to? scholes declared himself available and turned uniteds season around. crouch hasnt done much lately? just because he hasnt scored 30 goals. hes been consistent more than carroll, must of been 3rd top english scorer, arial threat, int experience, int goals! what more do you want from the man? richards, youve covered

i hate liverppol but this isnt anything against them, anyone will tell you. henderson has done as much as spearing. downing as well all know.. no goals, no assists. carroll, scores against chelsea, suddenly hes the best player in the world.

Scholes retired, where did he ever say he was available? The only thing similar is that he said he wished he had accepted Capello's offer of the World Cup.

Ferdinand lost about because of his fitness. Sir Alex Ferguson who works with him every day said that Rio was not capable of playing the games at the Euros because they were too close together. It makes no sense to take a player who might be inured for crucial games.

The reason most likely for Richards' exclusion was that he lost his place in the City team at the end of the year, and Phil Jones was included as he can play in more positions, meaning no space for Richards.

I imagine Peter Crouch was left out due to his age and the fact that the way he plays is slightly different to Carroll and Hodgson felt Carroll would fit his system better.

scholes wasnt picked for very obvious reasons- he made it very clear last time that he didnt feel right about playing part of a tourny when he had nothing to do with the qualifying. Scholes clearly has regrets and i believe he wishes he prolonged his england carrerr- He may have accepted an england place this time, but he might not have, the guy is scatty- probally best to not even consider him- the consideration would have in all probability been a waste of time.

ferdinand wasnt picked because he could have caused a rift in the team, - it was hjim or terry- not both yet terry is fit, ferdinand wasnt- thats a no brianer

richards isnt probally good enough(or more likely hasnt been playing much)

crouch is the only odd one i suppose- bt then he just isnt favoured what ever he does. but all the same you do have to play a certain system when you use crouch..
