The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to the homeland of the wonderful Eirebilly, who we were all horrified to hear that he was involved in a helicopter crash on Friday. Better news though is that he's awake and swearing like a sailor, so no change there Feel free to take in all of the pubs, of which the Greyhound is but one of many.
Updates on Billy's progress can be found here: https://www.606v2.com/t30132-eirebilly-op-updated-02-06-2012 and I'm sure we'll all continue in sending the positive thoughts and good wishes to him and his family.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the snooker table, brought in especially for Billy. And I'm not quite sure how that picture of a sheep got above the bar.....

That must be so horrible for you Rava....
Watching the not half as good, un-extended and advert ridden version of Return of the King. I almost have to force myself to watch. It's got nothing to do with any of the actors in it all.

33:30 Florian Fritz gets a yellow for a "high tackle".
Another miss for Castres 12 - 9
(Gibbo - you cheeky feicer, I've been a ASM fan since 2004 - )
35:49 Great break from Max Evans for Castres but superb, absolutely brilliant defence from Vincent Clerc to hold him up and turn him after he crosses the whitewash
2nd yellow for Toulouse as winger joins ruck from wrong side
12 - 12

It's not as good as the extended version Hoog, but still good enough I guess.
I can never decide which I like more: the hobbits, elves or the Rohirrim? (not the posh boys from Gondor, but then again, they do have Sean Bean. Hmmm, decisions....)

Evening all, well Sixmilebridge is a lovely place isn't it?
Can't find the really long bridge though I guess that's just Clare humour then?
What's with all these feckin ducks? Make way at the bar there, I'm spitting feathers here.
Ahhhhhhh, better, *BURP*
Nice intro Dreamer, .

You're right, lots of kicking but I'm finding it strangely absorbing. Missed kicks could come back and bite Castres on the ar$e

"the way is shut" ooo Legolas (well Orlando Bloom). I fell in love with him when the first Lord of the Rings film came out when I was 14. I even remember exactly where I was sat in the cinema in Swansea when he first appeared on screen. My first teenage crush that wasn't a rugby player.

Tis just amazing intensity. Both teams are trying to "play rugby" but the hits are coming thick and fast. When he has had the chance Max Evans has shown up well, whilst Chris Masoe was very effective in the 1st half. Just full on - enjoying them bashing each other up before they play ASM in the final

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
I'm not at all fussed Nigel has gone, not one bit. The front five has been a fundemental weakness with the Scarlets in his tenure.
We used to field:
Iestyn Thomas-Mathew Rees-John Davies
Vernon Cooper-Chris Wyatt
As every one of them has aged, retired or left, apart from arguably Rees, the replacement has been of nowhere near the same talent. Nigel is not the man to sort this out.
Also, the Scarlets have on occasion played like the Scarlets of old. He has set his team up to play that way, but to often has not had the courage to be really bold and back his team, compromising on style and falling between two turds, er, stools. The problem is on those occasions that he hasn't got the personnel to drag him out of the fire up front.
Lastly a man who can't work out how to beat Munster (in how many efforts?) has to be doubted, Munster never change!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
Disagree Glas. He figured out how to beat Munster. There's not a lot he can do when players have brain farts on the day now, is there?
And he's never had the budget to get us the forwards. It's a shame he's going now, just when it looks like he's bringing the forwards in.
Compared to where we were when he first became head coach, we are in a much, MUCH better place (one could say that's how bad things were!)
But then, that might just be me
(and that front 5 used to be amazing! Fags and Booze Wyatt, oh how we've missed him...)
