The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge

First topic message reminder :

Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The Pub has made it's way to the homeland of the wonderful Eirebilly, who we were all horrified to hear that he was involved in a helicopter crash on Friday. Better news though is that he's awake and swearing like a sailor, so no change there Feel free to take in all of the pubs, of which the Greyhound is but one of many.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the snooker table, brought in especially for Billy. And I'm not quite sure how that picture of a sheep got above the bar.....

Willy, thanks, appreciate your comment. I have no wish to see geoff leave the forum, he seems very much appreciated by many Ulster fans. I find it slightly ironic that geoff's original remark was ok because it was "only Exeter" - if someone said that about Ulster, there would be (perhaps justifiably) outrage from the same posters. Ah well, hope it doesn't damage relations, Exe and Ulster have always worked in harmony - McKenzie, Stevenson, Tuohy, Steenson, Andress and now Whitten

I'm watching the Diamond League athletics from Oslo. In my day, they showed athletics on the main channels; nowadays it's relegated to the rubbishy ones.

A friend I used to work with gave birth to her first child this afternoon, a not-so-little boy called Arthur, 8lb 10oz, both are fine. I am thrilled for her... and off shopping for a nice little present tomorrow

Why is it that old-fashioned boys' names are back in vogue, but not old-fashioned girls' names? You hear quite a few Arthurs, Archies and Georges, but not so many Mauds and Muriels.

If I told mine at every interview Ive had... Id not only have failed the interviews, Id have been locked up for being a radical. Hard to work for Corporations sometimes, when one knows what they are doing and how they are doing it. Goes against the grain. But, kids must be reared, fed, watered and educated, hols to be paid for, rugby tours to be had and rent paid.

Its the stick you have to take to get to the carrot. Unless you live in a cave. Its called Society.

So my conundrum is, I am an International Champagne Socialist. Really hypocritically feiced up, in all honesty.

I remember I told my views, pished, standing on a table, in a crowded wine-bar in The City (London) once. Right at the height of Maggie Thatcher's me, me, me and phhok de miners and the North (incl. Scotland + Wales) reign.

My contract was not renewed for some strange reason. Free-Masonary for ya eh? What's it about bricks anyway?

I felt so much better for it though. Got a contract back in the Dam before I served my time out. The Clogs appreciate and protect free-speech & ehonesty like it hurts. I'd miss that.
