The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to the homeland of the wonderful Eirebilly, who we were all horrified to hear that he was involved in a helicopter crash on Friday. Better news though is that he's awake and swearing like a sailor, so no change there Feel free to take in all of the pubs, of which the Greyhound is but one of many.
Updates on Billy's progress can be found here: https://www.606v2.com/t30132-eirebilly-op-updated-02-06-2012 and I'm sure we'll all continue in sending the positive thoughts and good wishes to him and his family.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the snooker table, brought in especially for Billy. And I'm not quite sure how that picture of a sheep got above the bar.....
Old pub: https://www.606v2.com/t29683p950-the-dew-drop-inn-erc-2012-commemorative-pub-dublin#1271612

Australia v Scotland, Lucky.
And I'm just putting it out there like, but Scotland really really do have the best looking rugby team.

I cooked Phil Vickery's grilled mushroom recipe for dinner last night (well sort of, I used spring onion instead of parsley, and added pancetta), found the recipe on the BBC Food site. I didn't know he'd retired from rugby.

We do our best Pete.
Pictures doing it justice. Timing for this match couldn't have been worse with this storm. It's a hurricane in Sydney at the moment... unbelievable noise outside.

Definitely. By far. With France 2nd, and Wales in 3rd. (I don't see enough of the SH teams to really comment on them )

Apparently Newcastle had the world's largest soap factory for a while... coal, copper and steel were big too.
Seems impossible to hold onto the ball for any length of time... for both sides.
(I hope BB doesn't set it up for a charge down in-goal next time!)
I can see something like that happening. Risky plays in slippery conditions.

Also Dreamer, are you seriously questioning my ability to give people streams?
Rod Squad, If you need them I have plenty? You're at work though righ?
Everyone's always against the Cork people, I apologise that we're so much better than all of you.
Also Mike Ross looks suspiciously like the Hulk there.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
ah nah that's rubbish Rodders
Tis 3-0 to Scotland anyways, after they've had ridiculous amount of possession. They've just seen off a fair few phases of attack by Australia too. Can't get over the conditions though, awful out there.

Now 6-0. Oz don't know how to play in rain, they are the drought generation, same thing happened when they played Ireland in the RWC.

Ah rodders, you don't know what you're missing out on
Australia v close to Scotland's line now! Sexy Scots pinged for offside and Australia kicking at the posts.
blydi hell they have to put the ball on it's side on the tee AND have someone hold it to stop it falling over.
3 - 6 though, good kick.

Ah, Thursday then.
He was just penalised, but Ross Rennie is a great little rugby player. So glad to see him back after the injury problems he's had.

Hmm, a three-point lead and the Wallabies will have the wind at their backs in the second half. It's going to need quite a performance from Scotland after the break.

Lucky - btw I'm assuming it'll be Thursday the team will be announced, we usually do it 2 days before the match. Then again the whole squad only train together for the 1st time on Weds, so chance it could be Friday instead I guess.

The style of shoe is a bit annoying but the design itself is pretty neat. Someone sent it to me on twitter and thought it was pretty damn class. It's probably the only useful thing I have ever got out of my twitter account!

It's not like I'm actually going to buy them, you have to get them shipped from the US. Bit of a trek like. Those style shoes are what's happening now days though. It's all about being retro!
