The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Sixmilebridge
First topic message reminder :
Sláinte and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to the homeland of the wonderful Eirebilly, who we were all horrified to hear that he was involved in a helicopter crash on Friday. Better news though is that he's awake and swearing like a sailor, so no change there Feel free to take in all of the pubs, of which the Greyhound is but one of many.
Updates on Billy's progress can be found here: https://www.606v2.com/t30132-eirebilly-op-updated-02-06-2012 and I'm sure we'll all continue in sending the positive thoughts and good wishes to him and his family.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the snooker table, brought in especially for Billy. And I'm not quite sure how that picture of a sheep got above the bar.....
Old pub: https://www.606v2.com/t29683p950-the-dew-drop-inn-erc-2012-commemorative-pub-dublin#1271612

Scotland played two 7's, Rory, Rennie had to sacrifice his stealing of the ball skills to tackle you see. Honestly, it was nothing to do with the conditions at all
Mind you even with two 7's they struggled to contain Pocock

If Rennie keeps on playing like that he could well take the Lions 7 jersey from Warburton.

So.. Warburton and Tipuric?
Also, Strokotsch was the 6, so they would have had a weaker back row for carrying, but lose nothing in the tackle/breakdown!

at least quote me properly if you're going to make jokes mind Rory
More tackling stats (not sure whether they're true, I've gotten them off twitter)
Murray made 14 tackles missed 0. Gray made 17 missed 0. Strokosch made 17 missed 0. Rennie 24 missed 0.

Rory - nope. Tips and Warbs together won't work as well as what we've already got.

Right, time to watch a DVD. Do I go for some Hitchcock or This is Spinal Tap? Plenty of time for both!

Yesterday I spent £0.69 on "Drew Mitchell's Runnin' Rugby" game for the iPad. It's comedy gold

It was your fault for saying you were going to turn up in a two piece bikini.

I'm watching the Lins Tour 2009. That's patriotic isn't it?
I missed the Scotland game as I would've had to sit in front a PC to see it. I did try and find some radio coverage to have on as I was working but was unsuccessful. Fair play to Scotland for winning though. They and their fans must be delighted.

Samoa 20 Tonga 18 sounds like it was worth watching this morning too, though I can't find a match report yet.

After being accepted into Sportsguru I forgot all about making predictions... Having said that, Sportsguru doesn't seem to be working for me anyway. I read somewhere that I was accepted but I can't find the pool now and I haven't received any messages or reminders about the tournament. Odd.

Yeah, I've found it now. It's not under my profile for some reason, but I'm in there. I'll have to remember to pick for next weekend now.

There was a bit of controversy over refereeing in an Ulster v Scarlets match in the run up to that first meet if I remember...

I remember that too. Although with Tommy being at Ulster next season, I'm more than happy to do my bit with him to repair any damage done to the Ulster/Welsh relationship.

I deleted that cause I'm not even sure if it was 2010 actually - definitely not this season anyway.

Think your right Dreamer. 2011. Ye Welsh have long memories.
Ye could never accuse the Irish of that like.

I checked on the Rabo site but couldn't find any mention of a controversy?
Which game was it? The one that Ulster won or the one that Ulster won?

Dreamer - it must've been 2010 or very early on in 2011 because it was on old 606 and that closed April 2011...and I remember the discussions on there.
