Yes i am there isn't really a stand out side they all seem to be struggling at the moment so shall be a fun tournament

I heard Terry Venables say we'll win it too on an advert by the Sun. It was backed by inspirational music so it must be true.

In reality that advert annoyed me quite a bit. The Sun puts expectation on, and then rips in to the team if they don't meet them. Even though not one of the players or staff have said "we're going to win it".

As for adverts telling us England will win, they are also suggesting that England have won every tournament since 1966 and are 500 odd games unbeaten. I'm pretty sure that's not true as I think I remember us losing to Romania in 2000

No, that was just Phil Neville's nightmare. It never actually happened, Kevin Keegan never ever ever lost as England manager.

I wonder if our press are actually run by the late Kim Jong Ill at times with the way they believe England to be automatically superior despite the glaring facts that we aren't.

Olly, because everything in Sport is about politics deep down.

Apparently it's to do with scoring methods changing, so his style will be more suited to the Olympics. It looks silly though, and now whatever selection is made it's going to be controversial, needlessly so. And someone will have their ultimate dreams dashed too - it's all quite sad actually.

I thought about him this week too, I saw him bag a couple against N. Ireland and he looks good. I have too many wingers but a good signing I reckon.
