I subsequently won 26 caps for another country and in my first international season scored a match winning try against the country of my birth.

Re: Who am I?
Bathman is right, Clyde Rathbone it is. He captained SA U21s to the 2002 U21 world cup then played for Aus. Now that i search for it i can't actually find the quote but i'm sure i read somewhere of him saying I don't just want to be a Springbok I want to be a great Springbok" or something along those lines.

Re: Who am I?
OK...
I play in a different country to the one I was born in.
I have played 7's for the country I live in.
I have played for 3 clubs in the country I live in.
I have a far more famous Uncle (with the same surname) who played for both the country of my birth and a much "bigger" nation.

Re: Who am I?
A former international prop, though there was thought by my country to convert me to hooker.
I was (effectively) a one club man - winning every honour possible with that club.
I have won a grand slam.
I now run a sports events company.

I had a short but brilliant International career.
I am one of three brothers to play for my country.
I perfected "the flat attack"

Re: Who am I?
I have played for Leicester Tigers.
I played more matches for the Lions than I did for my country.
I played more matches for the Barbarians than I did for my country.
I have scored more tries for the Lions and the Barbarians than any other player.
My final cap at the age of 33 was a shock recall that denied the father of a current great his only chance of a cap.
My first cap came at the age of 18.
(More to come - if needed )

Re: Who am I?
Yup.
He played at Leicester after graduating, when he worked in Ashby.
On two tours for the lions he played in 36 matches (10 tests) and scored 37 tries.
Played 30 matches for Barbarians with 38 tries.
His last cap purportedly stopped BoD's dad being capped.
Next hint was going to be that he was perhaps the richest former Rugby International in the world (valued at >1bn Euro)
Final clue may not have helped but it would have been : I met LondonTiger at my youngest son's first wedding.

Re: Who am I?
I came from a different background to my teammates and had to fight for my place in province and country, I eventually moved to France and enjoyed much success but I had an unfortunate incident which ended my career, who am I?

Re: Who am I?
Ok.
I was born and grew up in a different country to where I played my rugby.
I went to school with 2 other internationals, who both represented a different country to me and a different one to where I was born.
I briefly played for a NRL team.
I played International rugby and won 8 caps.
I played for clubs in 2 different countries.

No again.
A clue. The 2 players from the same school are both props and 1 is most commonly known by a 1 word nickname.

Re: Who am I?
Ok:
*I played for 3 teams, 2 in the same city and 1 where I studied at University.
*I bit the bullet and trained in something I was more than happy to abuse.
*Someone get it in my trap!!
I'm at a conference all day so p.m me if you have guessed...I'll be back online around 5ish.

Re: Who am I?
Brian Moore.
Played for junior clubs prior to Nottingham (where he went to University), Quins and Richmond.
Trained in Law.
Features on a BBC "game" where people pass the ball through his mouth.

Re: Who am I?
Yea its definitely Brian Moore.
Clue #2 "I bit the bullet and training in something I was more than happy to abuse".
That doesn't refer to law in refers to his publicity stunt regarding refereeing.
If he wont be back til 5pm so you go now Tiger.
